Both of them turned toward the alley's entrance. Standing there was Li Lun, holding a black umbrella. His expression was cold, his eyes burning with hatred as they locked onto Yi Chen.

Yi Chen tilted his head slightly, confused but still calm. He looked at Zhu Yan with curiosity. "Yuan Zhou, Who is he?" Yi Chen asked, his tone gentle. "And... who are you, really?"

Zhu Yan hesitated for a moment before replying, "That's my name, my real name. My demon name." His voice was quiet but steady.

Before Yi Chen could respond, Li Lun took a step closer, his presence sharp and threatening. Yi Chen blinked, still looking innocent and unaware of the danger. Zhu Yan quickly stepped between them, forcing a smile.

"Yi Chen, Yi Xuan Gege is looking for you" Zhu Yan said suddenly, his voice light but urgent.

Yi Chen frowned slightly, puzzled. "Gege?"

Zhu Yan nodded quickly. "I can hear him. He's not far. Remember? I'm a demon." He gave Yi Chen a sheepish smile, hoping to steer him away before anything happened.

Yi Chen's expression softened with understanding. "Oh. I see." He gave Zhu Yan a bright smile. "Well, I'll see you tomorrow then. Don't forget, okay?"

Zhu Yan nodded eagerly, relieved. "Of course. Tomorrow."

Yi Chen waved at him cheerfully and walked past Li Lun, completely unaware of the tension in the air. His innocent smile remained as he disappeared down the road, leaving the alley.

Li Lun's gaze followed Yi Chen's retreating figure, his eyes filled with anger and something deeper-disgust, perhaps. When Yi Chen was out of sight, Li Lun turned back to Zhu Yan, his voice sharp. "Who was that?"

Zhu Yan swallowed nervously. "He's... he's my human friend."

Li Lun's expression darkened even further. Zhu Yan, trying to shift the mood, glanced at the black umbrella in Li Lun's hand. He hesitated before reaching out and touching it lightly. "Is this... for me?" he asked softly.

Li Lun didn't answer, his jaw tightening.

Zhu Yan smiled nervously. "Thank you, Li Lun. Really." He hoped his gratitude would calm Li Lun down.

Li Lun finally spoke, his voice cold. "You didn't say anything about him because you thought I'd be angry, right? For befriending a human?"

Zhu Yan's smile faltered. "I just didn't want you to be upset" he admitted, his voice small.

Li Lun scoffed, turning away. "Whatever" he muttered, starting to walk off.

"Li Lun, wait!" Zhu Yan called, hurrying after him.

Li Lun didn't stop, but Zhu Yan followed, his voice calling softly, "Li Lun... come on, don't be mad!"

Not far away, Yi Chen had found his brother quickly, as Zhu Yan had predicted.
As they spoke, Yi Chen glanced back toward the alley, his face suddenly clouding with gloom as he watched Zhu Yan chasing after Li Lun.

Yi Xuan noticed the change in Yi Chen's expression. "What's wrong?" he asked, his tone calm but curious.

"Nothing" Yi Chen replied quietly, his usual cheerfulness missing. He looked away, but his face remained troubled.
