As if days gone is not enough time
To figure out how to
Be honest
With yourself-
Do not switch up on me, now

We put too much time
Or energy
Or whatever pressure we felt from
Our parents
Ourselves
To try to make something work
When all that could happen
With an attitude like that
Is getting hurt
