————LUELLA STRIDES ALONG THE WET PATHS OF THE CUT, tears streaming down her inflamed cheeks, her hugged herself, her arms wrapped around herself tightly, she was in need of a hug, but right now, she felt alone, utterly and helplessly alone. The rain spitted down on her like a broken sprinkler, her light blonde hair turning a dark blonde from the water. The sting on her cheek was still visible and painful but that wasn't something new. The sky was clearing, revealing bright, silver stars from behind the dark clouds which were filled with rain. She wanted to cry or scream, anything to get this horrible feeling of loneliness away. She hated that man so much.
Luella was practically dragging herself down the path, her sandals getting soaked and her denim shorts turning into a dark blue as they absorb the water into the fabric, the grip she had on her bare arms were tight, leaving small marks on her pale, freckled skin. Luella thought she was alone, completely alone...
but that's when the love of her life came into her life.
Luella wasn't exactly looking where she was going, her head bent down, staring at the floor as she kicked some wet rocks now and then. Luella then stepped onto the road, thinking the coast was clear to cross, she slowly began to walk when her eyes were blinded by a bright yellow light, she froze, her arms flying up to her face as if to shield herself.
It was a motorcycle, going at ten times the speed it was meant to be going at, but it suddenly stopped just in time before it could hit Luella and probably kill her by the speed it was coming at. Luella slowly lowered her arms, letting them lay limply by her side, she slowly lifted her head up to be met with a boy wearing a huge black helmet, covering his face.
The boy exited the motorcycle slowly but carefully, removing his helmet gently, wrapping it around the peddle of the bike, he raised his hand up to his forehead, wiping some sweat he must have gotten from wearing that huge helmet.
It took Luella a long minute to figure out who it actually was as the lights on the bike were practically blinding her, she raised her hand too, avoiding the light.
Rafe Cameron.
"Luella?" His voice came out low but surprisingly gentle, he took a hesitant step closer, his arms by his side, his arms were definitely huge and muscular, his biceps practically squeezing out of his shirt.
Luella lowered her arms after Rafe quickly turned the lights off from his bike, allowing her to see better now. It was indeed Rafe Cameron, the kook prince. Luella had never actually met him in person, she would see him time to time at the wreck, having a little drink, getting into daily scuffles but nothing else. He was like a side character in her life but now... she doesn't know.
Rafe stares at her, almost examining her state, Luella couldn't help but feel a sense of shame wash over her bloodied and battered body, she probably looked completely pathetic right now, standing in front of the popular kook prince, the boy who's family was richer than the real prince. "Are you alright?" He asked the words Luella never thought she'd hear come out his beautiful lips.
Luella looked up at him, her eyelashes glistening with wet rain, making her seem like she had been crying more than she should have. Her eyes were bloodshot red, and her arms marked with her fingernails. She did look pathetic. Luella forced herself to nod and smile. "Yeah, I'm fine." She mumbled.
Rafe raised an eyebrow, his expression filled with uncertainty and suspicion. "Are you sure? Because from what I just witnessed, I nearly killed you." He informed, folding his arms over his chest, leaning against his bike slightly to the side.
A bright shade of colour filled Luella's freckled cheeks, a look of embarrassment and shame etching across her face, she looked away almost immediately. "You were going really fast though." She replied back, avoiding his intense gaze.
