Suddenly.

The bathroom door creaked open.

A figure emerged.

My heart skipped a beat.

"Saad?" I whispered.

His eyes locked onto mine.

A smile spread across his face.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

Saad's smile grew wider.

"I couldn't wait till Eid morning," he whispered.

My heart fluttered. But then My eyes widened in surprise.

"You went home hours ago," I said.

Saad's smile turned mischievous.

"Why can't I wait for my wife to meet her?" he asked.

His words sent my heart racing.

"Saad, someone might hear," I warned.

"No one will hear us, as everyone is sleeping." He chuckled.

"Besides, I have a surprise," Saad said, his voice dropping to a whisper.

"What is it?" I asked, my eyes locking onto his.

Saad's smile grew wider.

"Wait and see," he teased.

He leaned in, his lips brushing against my ear. I shivered.

"Whatever you're planning, I don't want to see and go," i said, pushing him away playfully.

"I'm tired, I want to sleep."

Saad's eyes sparkled.

"Why?" he asked.

I raised an eyebrow.

"Because I'm exhausted," i replied.

Saad chuckled.

"Too exhausted for my surprise?" he asked.

I nodded. Saad's grin grew mischievous.

He pulled out a small velvet box from his pocket.

"What is it?" I asked.

Saad's eyes shone.

"For you," he said.

"Your first Eid gift from me."

My heart skipped a beat.

"Eid gift?" I repeated.

Saad nodded.

"Open it," he urged.

My fingers trembled.

As i lifted the lid.

Saad's POV:

But there was no reaction.

No gasp.

No smile.

Just silence.

My face fell.

"What happened?" I asked, confusion etched on my face.

"Don't you like it?" I asked.

Uswa's expression remained neutral.

"I hate it," she said.

My eyes widened.

"What?" I exclaimed, shock written all over my face.

I took a step back.
