"Star, Star wake up!"
I abruptly opened my eyes and sucked in a deep breath, looking ahead spotting Superboy.
"Quit staring, you're creeping me out." Wally said wherever he currently was, as I take in my situation and start pulling at the restraints on my arms.
"Are you alright Star?" Dick asked from his pod beside me. "Yeah, I'm fine, what about you?"
"I'm fine too." He said with a sigh. " Uh, KF, how about we not tick off the guy who can fry us with a look?" Dick said turning to Wally.
"I'd never let that happen." I said narrowing my eyes at Superboy. "He only won because he pulled my hair."
I heard Wally chuckle as I tried pulling on my restraints again but for some reason couldn't get free.
"We only sought to help you." Aqualad tried to explain to Superboy.
"I don't think he cares too much about that." I said rolling my eyes at Superboy.
"Yeah. We free you, and you turn on us." Wally adds on. "How's that for great-"
"Kid, please be quiet now." Aqualad told Wally, to which I giggled at under my breath. "I believe our friend was not in full control of his actions."
"Wha- what if I wasn't ?" Superboy huffed out at us, this must be his first time talking.
"He can talk?" Wally said in shock.
"Yes, he can." Superboy said to Wally annoyed, which I can't blame him.
"Not like I said it." Wally tried to defend himself mumbling.
"The Genomorphs taught you telepathically." Aqualad said in realization.
"They taught me much, I can read, write, I-I know the names of things." Superboy said thoughtfully.
"But have you seen them?" Dick said questioning him. "Have they ever actually let you see the sky? Or the sun?"
"Images are implanted in my mind, but no." Superboy said in return. "I have not seen them."
"Do you know who you are?" I asked Superboy wanting to know just what they showed him.
"I am the Superboy, a Genomorph, a clone made from the DNA of the Superman, created to replace him should he perish. To destroy him should he turn from the light." Superboy rambled as if this was a rehearsed question, to which I couldn't help but clench my fist at.
