JEREMY
"Welcome back."
"Glad to be back, it's been a while."
"Tell me about it. How was your break, did anything fun?"
I shook my head. "Not really, I flew to Chicago to celebrate Thanksgiving there with my family"
"Lucky I was planning on flying as well to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family as well but there was a heavy storm so they were not letting the plane land."
"Bummer."
"I know." Rowan sighed. Rowan is my best friend. We met in middle school and have been friends since then. We both have a love for football so I'm glad I get to be in the same team as him. Although today is not a very happy day.
It's early morning on a Monday and we've been told to be early at school for early practice. Don't get me wrong I love football but having practice after the break is not it, especially on a morning. It happens to be finals too so I would understand if the coach would want us to practice daily.
"Come on guys, let's get going. This is practice, no time to chit chat." Coach Baron yelled.
"Let's go," I said, placing my helmet on and rushing to the center of the courtyard where the rest of the team was.

"I'm exhausted. I didn't expect the coach to make us do a lot," Rowan said as we walked to the locker rooms along with the rest of the team.
I don't know how long we were there but it felt like we spent 4 hours practicing. Coach Baron really outdid himself. I nodded agreeing with Rowan as I began to change out of my football equipment. I'm glad there are showers in here, so I headed to the restroom and took a quick shower. I quickly changed after the shower, drying my hair and styling it.
"I really needed that shower," I told Rowan as I put all my stuff in my locker.
"Me too, but come on we already missed first period we don't want to miss second period." I nodded, closing my locker, and walked out of the lockers.
We began making our way inside the campus. I pulled my phone out of my backpack and checked the time, seeing there were still 15 minutes before second period started.
"Hey, I'll catch you there. I need to go pick up something. Save me a seat," he said as he walked away.
I watched him leave before making my way to my second class. On the way there I bumped into a group of girls. Who Isabell happened to be there.
"Jeremy, oh my god I missed you." she squealed, rushing to my side and attaching her hand to my arm. "Why weren't you in class?"
Isabell, the it girl of the school. Who has been annoyingly attached to me. Don't get me wrong she's pretty but she's just not my type. I ignore her every time she talked.
"I had practice early this morning. Football season is starting," I stated the obvious. I tried to slightly push myself from her but her grip on my arm was so strong that I was too tired to even try.
To try and ignore her, I turned to look at her friends. Savannah and Josie who I've seen often because of Isabell and having most of all my classes with them.
"Hey girls, how was class? Did I miss anything?" I asked them. I saw Josie open her mouth ready to speak but Isabell cut her off before she could speak.
"Nothing important, the teacher was going over the basics," Isabell explained. What basics?
I ignored her and asked again, looking directly at Josie. "Did I miss anything important?"
