JOSIE
"Wait Savannah have you seen my glasses?" I questioned.
"No, you never gave them to me."
"Then where did I leave them?" I say searching through my bag.
Savannah shrugs. "I don't know, you probably left them in the classroom?"
That's when I realized. "I left them in the library," I remember removing my glasses when they kept slipping off me as I placed the books on the bottom bookshelf.
"Well, girl you have to go to PE without your glasses, plus we might be running too, you were either way going to take them off," Savannah said as we began walking out of the girls' locker room and to the field.
"I hate PE."
"Me too," Savannah stated.
"Same," Isabell said.
"Like if she does anything all she does is stare. I wonder if he ever gets crept out." Savannah whispers. I shrugged.
Isabell only took this elective because she knew football came out and practiced at this time, and guess who's in football? Jeremy. She might hate PE but she loves seeing one certain boy.
"Alright, let's go run a few laps around the field." Ms Blake, the PE teacher called out.
We all formed into a line and waited for the whistle. As soon as she blew the whistle we all began to run. I hated running because then I was all sweaty and gross. The only good thing is that we had girls' lockers here to change and they had showers.
By what I believe was the third lap I heard Ms Blake questioned Isabell why she wasn't running. I didn't hear the rest of their conversation but I knew Isabell wasn't running. If she ran was because she was going to try and impress Jeremy, but the football team wasn't out yet.
"Alright, we're done, take a 5-minute break and we'll continue with the rest." Ms Blake yelled, making us all stop, and those who were behind hurry to get to the front.
"She didn't even run, she was just on her phone." Savannah panted as we both walked to the benches where all our water bottles were.
Isabell was on the benches but the one further away from us, on her phone. School isn't strictly about phones but they also hate that we constantly use them when we are supposed to do something else. I guess everybody knows how Isabell is, that teacher only tells her once and if she doesn't listen then they let her be.
"Look who just came out," Savannah said, nudging me on the stomach.
I turned to face her and looked towards the direction she was looking at. Football team. They all came out running from the boy's locker rooms to the middle of the field. I look to my side seeing Isabell looking for him. I did too, even though I shouldn't.
Ms Blake called us again, making me look away from them, and walked towards the spot where we always stretched and again Isabell stayed on the benches looking at the Football team-him-actually. She moved slightly closer towards us but still kept a good distance. We did a few stretches, and for a few minutes, we exercised.
I would turn and look at the middle of the court and then towards Isabell. By the end of the exercise, is when I spotted Jeremy. He began walking towards Isabell who was currently on her phone not even noticing him walking towards her. I just hope he will do what I told him to. I didn't like this one bit, but there was nothing I could do.
PE was over so we walked towards the benches gathering our stuff. My eyes are still glancing towards them. I saw Jeremy walk up to her but it looked like he was debating on something.
