When she woke up on Friday morning, Anna felt like her head was about to explode. The last few days had been intense. She promises herself that she will never drink like this, especially in the middle of the week. She hasn't recovered yet since that night. She crawls to the medicine cupboard looking for some drug to appease her headache. As the pain fades, she slowly remembers Tuesday's party in flashes. First, Antonio. This man was a mystery. "Who is he really? How does he know her dad? And why does he need her help?" she kept wondering. She suddenly put her left hand in front of her face and looked at her ring finger, remembering his last words "Will you be mine?". She blushes, half by shame and half by... She doesn't know what she actually feels about him but the only thing she is sure about is that this guy makes her lose her mind. And so does alcohol. That's probably why she kissed him because she would have never done that if she had been sober. At least, that's what she wanted to believe. She chased away those silly thoughts and gathered all the few forces she had to get ready for the last workday of the week.
When she arrived at her office. Nobody was there. She checked out the time and realized she arrived forty minutes earlier than usual. She was slowly walking to her desk when she suddenly caught sight of a tall silhouette next to it. She blinked twice to make sure her vision wasn't troubled but as she thought of a hallucination, a tall man with icy eyes appeared in front of her.
"Oh, Anna! Looks like you are an early bir–"
"What are you doing in my office, Mr. Kortun?!" she shouted with anger.
"Your" office?"
"That's my working surface", she said while pointing out her desk.
"Oh, really?"
"I'm not joking, Lewis."
"Neither am I, he declared with a smug smile. I was looking for...Mr. Wright."
"He's not here yet. However, he left me a specific message to relay to you."
"Which is?"
"Fuck off!", or something like that."
"Rude."
"You can talk."
He had a tinkling laugh that suddenly relaxed the atmosphere, and Anna couldn't help but laugh as well. She didn't have the energy to fight this morning.
"Would you have a coffee with me?"
"What? No. Have your coffee by yourself."
"Please, Anna."
She shivered when she heard him pronouncing her name. He sounded so desperate to spend some time with her and she couldn't figure out why.
"Why?"
"I want to make up for being rude to you."
"Okay, but why?"
"I don't know, maybe because I like you", he whispered fluttering his eyelashes.
"Haha, don't you have a better lie ?"
"You want me to be honest? Actually, it's because you look like you need a coffee, haha."
