The sky was nothing.
It was covered with darkness. There were no light to guide the lost souls or whisper in the air to signify the time's passing.
The lands of Gahenna and Mula had lived in this darkness for as long as anyone could remember. It was a curse, a twisted trick of fate that bound both realms to an eternal night. But there was a legend--- a goddess, a being who had been caught in a forbidden love. Where the man she loved was killed leaving her in the darkness.
That was the legend. The reason why she had woven the two lands' reality and curse their world in shadows.
The kind that could bend the very elements or summon creatures from beyond the veil. Magic coursed through their veins like a second blood, a gift--- or perhaps a curse--- bestowed upon them by the endless night.
The silver mask were said to hold secrets that even the oldest witches could not explain.
The prince, ruler of this somber kingdom, never revealed his face to anyone. Even to the king and queen.
It was rumoured that the mask held not only his identity but also his fate.
But the land of Mula was not so different. Here, witches roamed the lands, each one possessing powers as unique as the stars themselves. Unlike the prince of Gahenna, the princess of Mula lived without a mask. It was said that the witches was born of darkness, just as their land was born of the eternal night.
The witches ruled in silence, governed by their princess, who don't posses any power.
