Standing in front of her mirror, Ryleigh Hayes was fully convinced she must be dreaming. Today seemed like a fairytale, too good to be true.

A asymmetrical white dress flowed down her body, the satin reflecting the overhead lights above her. Behind her, Sydney Patton was wearing an almost identical outfit, only her neckline was cut into a halter top.

"Ryleigh, you look stunning. Now stop standing in front of the mirror, I need to do my hair." Sydney whined, hopping off of the bed and pushing Ryleigh away from the mirror.

The blonde rolled her eyes, sticking her tongue out at her friend but walking away from the area. "I'm gonna go see if the boys are almost ready." She said. Sydney nodded, but she seemed more focused on the straightener running through her dark hair.

Ryleigh pushed her way through the hotel door, walking to the room across the hall. As Ryleigh expected, there were no lights peaking through, along with no other signs of life.

She banged her hand against the door, almost pulling off a nail and hissing with pain. She pulled her hand back, shaking it aggressively while she waited for the door to open. The handle turned, and Lucas was standing on the other end, his hair tousled and his eyes drooping as he blinked at Ryleigh.

"Dude, we have to go in thirty minutes!" Elara threw her arms up, and Lucas quickly woke up.

"What? It's only like-"

"Six thirty." Ryleigh held her phone up to show the taller guy that it was time for him to get ready.

Lucas cursed under his breath, running inside his hotel room and digging around in his suitcase. Ryleigh followed him in, shutting the door behind her and walking in front of the bed, where James was sound asleep.

With a yank of the blankets and a kick of the bed, James was awake, seemingly terrified for his life with the aggressive attempt of arising him. He shot his body up, trying to stand up but failing due to the sheets being wrapped around his feet. He hit the ground with a thud, his face in the carpet.

Ryleigh slapped her hand across her mouth, attempting not to laugh. It didn't work, and she ended up doubled over and pointing at the brunette on the floor.

James gave her a insolent salute with his finger, which she returned, showcasing the nail she had recently bent.

"How have you already broken a nail? You three," James pointed at Ryleigh,  Lucas, and Sydney, who was just entering the room. "Spent almost the whole budget yesterday to get your nails done!" He exclaimed, rolling his eyes.

Ryleigh ignored his comment, instead walking into their bathroom to check her appearance again. She looked down her body, trying to make sure she looked alright for the camera. She wasn't one to usually care about what she looked like often, but today was her first big event as a music artist.

Her hand traced over the lettering inked into her collarbone, fingers following each letter as she whispered the phrase to herself.

"No matter what."

Everyone in the band had multiple tattoos, and they all were all linked to each other. Sydney had a matching phrase on the same location as Ryleigh's that said "No matter where," and James had one that wrote "No matter how." Lucas wasn't a big fan of tattoos, but he had one as well that said "No matter when."
