I did this?

Rising from the crystalline waters of Bygone Island, Cazilia's yellow eyes widened at the sight before her. The massive wall of water loomed in the distance, a dark shadow against the horizon that grew larger with each passing second. "did I do this?!" she thought. there was no way her spout of anger had anything to do with... that! Her water-like hair rippled in the wind, "is what they say about me true.. am I a.. monster??".  droplets cascading down her blue fur as she assessed the situation.

"if I caused this, I have to stop it!"

The orphanage – but not her home, she wished she had a home– sat vulnerable on the shoreline behind her. All those young ones who, like her, had found shelter within it's walls, regardless if they found comedy in her misfortunes or not, deserved to have a home. she remembered her old orphanage back at sunset springs. it burst into flames. there was no water there, or at least any she could get to in time. but now was her chance.

They were all counting on her, even if they didn't know it yet. even if they didn't like her... she couldn't stand back and watch things like that happen again.

"Not today," Caz whispered to herself, her determination growing stronger with each passing moment. Water wasn't just her element; it was part of who she was. She could feel every ripple, every current, every molecule of the ocean around her, every animal in the sea call her name. The tsunami might be powerful, but so was she.

Raising her arms, Caz began to draw water from the ocean. It responded to her call, swirling up in great columns around her. Higher and higher she pulled it, weaving the water into a massive, semi-transparent wall. The barrier needed to be thick enough to withstand the tsunami's force, yet flexible enough to not shatter under the impact.

Layer by layer, she reinforced her creation. The wall of water stretched across the island's coastline, its surface rippling with intricate patterns as Cazilia infused it with her power. She could feel the strain in her muscles, the trembling in her limbs, but she didn't stop. She couldn't.  despite the same orphans who inflicted harm on her watched. they wispered behind her and crowded at the door of the orphanage. hell, The educators and grown-ups appeared just as frightened, their hair, manes, and fur standing on end in the fierce wind.

The tsunami struck with the force of a thousand storms. Caz gritted her teeth, pushing back against the enormous pressure. Her water wall bent but didn't break, redirecting the massive wave up and over the island. For endless seconds, she held her position, watching through the crystalline barrier as the ocean passed overhead like a liquid sky.

When the last of the tsunami flowed past, Cazilia carefully lowered her defenses, letting the water return to the sea in a gentle cascade. Her legs shook with exhaustion, but a smile played across her face. she turned around to look at everyone. some frightened, some amazed.

The watery wall crashed down to the corners of the island, sending the rest of the water the opposite way. Luckily there was no inhabited land for miles away from bygone island. As the walls departed, the water rippled away  from the shore, and turned back to normal.

She felt her legs become slack, and before she knew it, she tumbled back into the sea, the water slammed against her face and body. The final image etched in her mind was of adults hurriedly ushering children indoors, while a few others sprinted towards her before she lost consciousness.
