First Encounter (October 30 2023)
Picture day Sunlight
On picture day, we crossed paths by chance,
She in her white dress, so short and sweet,
As the day unfolded, we entered a building.
Both fitted for gowns, elegant and neat.
Summoned before the lens, her true beauty displayed,
A smile that brightens up the darkness of nights,
A sungrenade of warmth, like sunshine’s parade,
I smiled back flirtatiously, my heart taking flight.
She settled in her seat as I sit behind,
Waiting for invitations to come our way,
In that moment, it felt like our souls intertwined
I couldn’t help but compliment her, risking words to say.
Her beauty transcended, a mesmerizing sight,
In this picture-perfect moment, our story took flight.
Second Encounter (November 1, 2023)
On Graduation eve
On graduation's eve, where dreams and hopes to entwine,
A second chance bestowed; a moment so divine.
To meet her once again, my feelings to declare,
A chance to seek, her name, her digits, and a date to prepare.
Along the path I strolled, my friends left behind,
I spied a girl with a walk, a captivating find.
Her face, a déjà vu, familiarity strong,
Destiny whispered softly, weaving fate along.
Her grace and confidence, a sight that made me shiver,
Words stumbled in my throat, as I find the courage to deliver.
In that moment, realization struck with might,
Fate granted us a meeting, a serendipitous daylight.
With a phone that lay dead, a clever ploy I played,
Gave her mine with hope, for more days to be swayed.
She smiled, a sweet response, a promise in the air,
Dialled my digits promptly, a connection we'd share.
Confidence surged within, a spark so bright,
She might just feel the same, or so it felt right.
I smiled my way to the dorm, a heart with hope aglow,
A vision of the future, showing what life could be you know.
Late that night, my phone revives, hopes overthrown,
No missed calls left me feeling like such a clown.
She played me well, like a piano with a bittersweet tone.
Third Encounter (November 4, 2023)
Third times the charm
Upon graduation's , joy takes the stage,
Happiness, hugs, congratulations engage.
I ponder the gift that God might bestow,
As prince-like, I stand tall, my confidence aglow.
Proud and elated, gowns await their embrace,
In line, I wait, each moment a grace.
Then, a sweet voice, a gentle touch in the blissful air,
There she stands, glowing, cheerful, stunning with very long hair.
Confident in my moment, I spoke of the awaited call that never came.
A surprise in her eyes, she declares, a phrase so warm,
"Third time's the charm," a promise takes form.
Her number secured, a tale yet untold,
In the sonnet of life, our chapters unfold. To be continued
