The skies above roared with fury. Clouds churned like waves in a stormy sea, and bolts of golden lightning cracked the heavens as if the world itself had reached its breaking point. At the heart of it all stood Sun Wukong, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, unyielding and defiant.

His golden staff, Ruyi Jingu Bang, burned brightly in his hands, a beacon of rebellion against the jade-armored legions of the celestial court. Around him lay the ruins of the heavenly palace—cracked jade pillars and shattered gates bearing the scars of his wrath.

"You call yourselves gods," he sneered, his voice echoing across the battlefield. "Yet you cower behind your thrones and titles. I am the Great Sage Equal to Heaven! None can stand against me!"

But the defiance in his eyes faltered as a figure descended from the storm-ridden skies. A serene presence amidst the chaos, the Buddha stood with a calm smile, radiating an aura so vast it made even Wukong's power seem insignificant.

"Sun Wukong," the Buddha said, his voice carrying neither malice nor pity, only an unshakable certainty. "You have caused untold havoc, but it is not strength alone that makes a being worthy of Heaven."

Wukong gritted his teeth. "Spare me your sermons. If you think I'll bow—"

Before he could finish, the Buddha raised a hand, and time itself seemed to freeze. Wukong's golden staff, so mighty and indestructible, slipped from his grasp as if it weighed a thousand tons. His body, once brimming with power, felt suddenly heavy, his limbs bound by invisible chains.

"You shall not wield your staff," the Buddha declared, "until you learn the humility to match your strength. And so, you shall journey to a world untouched by your legend, where your name holds no sway, and your past means nothing. Perhaps there, you will find what Heaven could not teach you."

The Monkey King struggled, roaring in defiance, but the Buddha's will was absolute. The world around Wukong dissolved into light, and in an instant, he was gone.

When Wukong awoke, the heavens were gone. Above him stretched a sky unmarked by the chaos of battle, and around him stood a forest unlike any he had seen—lush, vibrant, and brimming with energy. Yet, something felt... wrong.

He tried to summon his staff, to feel the familiar weight of Ruyi Jingu Bang in his hands, but there was nothing. His strength, though not gone entirely, was diminished, and the golden circlet around his brow pulsed faintly, a constant reminder of his restraint.

"Where... am I?" he muttered, rising unsteadily to his feet.

The world around him was unfamiliar, and yet, it hummed with a strange magic. Elemental energy danced in the air, and distant mountains glowed with the soft light of ley lines.

Unbeknownst to him, he had arrived in Teyvat, a land of gods and mortals, of elemental power and hidden secrets. But to its inhabitants, he was just another wanderer, a stranger with no past and no destiny.

For the first time in centuries, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven was no longer a king, no longer a god. He was simply... Wukong.

And so, his journey began.
