Horror movies

We make it back to the house and I start making popcorn as we wait for the rest of the group to get here. 

Alex and Sebastion are sitting in the living room picking a movie to watch. I suggested 10 things I hate about you, but Sebastion quickly reminded me who was coming over, letting me know that there's no way in hell they would ever watch a romance movie. They're missing out. 

"Hey, we're gonna go grab a pizza really quick. Sebastion says if anyone gets here just let them in and let them know where we are." Alex lets me know, peeking her head into the kitchen

"We literally just ate dinner?" I question looking back at her. 

"You're surrounded by boys now, what do you expect to happen?" She states smiling at me "We'll be back soon." 

"Got it!" I give her a thumbs up as I watch the popcorn spin in the microwave. 

I felt a little disappointed that I would be here alone, but I knew Alex and Sebastion would be quick since the pizza shop is right down the road. 

As I heard shut, I went to lock it. I wasn't familiar with this environment so I just wanted to be extra cautious. 

I walk through the living room and back into the kitchen and pull the popcorn out of the microwave. It was so hot that I dropped the bag onto the stove top below the microwave. 

"ow," I whisper to myself. I grab a pair of tongs from the cup of cooking utensils right next to the fridge and look up to find an Alexa sitting on the counter. 

I smile to myself as I think of an idea. 

"hey Alexa play Criminal by Britney Spears" I smile as I hear the song begin to play. 

I start dancing a little as I hear the amazing Britney begin to sing the lyrics. 

I grab a bowl from the cabinet as I keep dancing. I then grab the bag of popcorn and pour it into the bowl, adding some butter to the popcorn. 

I grab the tongs and hold it up to my mouth as if it was a microphone when the chorus starts playing. 

"but mama I'm in love with a criminal!!" at this point, I'm basically putting on a concert. "and this type of love isn't rational it's physical!!" 

I continue dancing as the song continues playing. I turn around to place the popcorn on the island when I get the living life scared out of me. 

Elias was standing there, with his arms crossed leaning against the door frame. I see a slight smirk on his lips. I can slightly see his tongue poking his cheek as he stares at me. 

I start to giggle as I try to catch my breath. "hi" is all I can get out. He doesn't respond though, he just continues to look at me with that face. "how much of that did you see?" I question him

"A good amount" is all he answers with. "but please don't let me rain on your parade, continue." He says as if it weren't an option for me. 

"not when I have an audience," I say with a smile as if it's obvious. "how'd you even get in here?" I question him, "I locked the door." 

"Sebastion gave me the code to the door a while ago" I continues

"great." I say this thinking about how Elias could just walk in whenever he wants. "what's that?" I ask seeing a bag in his hands. 

"Oh I brought drinks," He says as he walks towards the island and places the bag on the counter. He starts emptying the bag. He pulls out two bottles of soda and a jug of Chocolate milk. 

"chocolate milk for you." He says as he hands me the jug. I smile at the gesture, as I walk over to the fridge to put the chocolate milk away so it doesn't get warm. 

"Thank you" I say, turning around and leaning my back against the fridge.

"I figured you'd want more," He says making eye contact with me. I cringe to myself remember that I asked or two refills of chocolate milk at the restaurant. I cringe a second time at how childish that must seem. 

"hey, so where did everyone else go?' He asked as if he knew I was cringing at myself.

"Well, Alex and Sebastion went to pick up pizza, and you're the first one here," I say as I grab the popcorn bowl and walk into the living room sitting on the couch. Elias watches me from the kitchen before he gets up and sits on one of the recliners we have. 

"Do you have any idea what movie the other guys would like?" I ask grabbing the remote and turning the TV on. 

"They love horror movies" He answers honestly. I look at him with a confused face. "They just like 'protecting' the girls they bring over" He continues using air quotes around protecting. 

"in other words, they want to get them in bed," I say bluntly. 

"mmm" He says in agreement. 

"why didn't you bring anyone over? You're missing out." I say as I grab a blanket and wrap it around myself. 

"I'm sure I won't," He says, still looking at me. What does that mean?

I hear the door open and close. I lean further back into the couch so I can peek at the front door. I see Alex giggling at Sebastion as she pushes him. He's smiling too. 

"That was quick." I say as they start walking towards the living room, Sebastion still holding the pizza. 

"oh hey Elias, when did you get here?" He asks 

"Only a little bit ago, I brought drinks though!" He says, standing up and walking to the kitchen with him. 

Alex sits next to me on the couch. "Do you wanna go help me find my pajamas in my boxes of things" She asks me. 

"Yes please!! I need to change" I tell her. We walk upstairs and change into our pajamas. I throw on a pair of pajama shorts and a hoodie. We stay up there for a few minutes as we change and talk. 

We grab a few pillows and bring them down to the living room to get ready to watch a movie. I hear more voices as I enter the living room, assuming everyone else made it here. I walk into the kitchen to find the rest of Sebastions friends, each one with a girl on their arm. 

Two of them were blonde, and there was one brunette. I gotta say these girls are really gorgeous. My eyes find Elias, who's standing next to my brother talking. It's not hard to spot him in a room, mostly because he's the biggest guy in this room. I gotta say, he has some really nice muscles. 

I laugh as I recall what Elias said earlier about the horror movies. I think he sees me do so, because I find his eyes on me. I act as if I didn't notice though as I walk to the cabinets and try to find which cabinet the cups are in. I finally find some, and grab the chocolate milk Elias got me and pour some in a cup. I chug almost the whole cup before letting an 'ahhh' out. 

I walk back into the living room and sit with Alex. We chat until everyone else joins us in the living room. I decided to sit on the ground by the coffee table so the guys could sit with the girls they brought. Alex does the same, leaning against the recliner my brother was sitting on. 

"so what are we watching?" My brother asks the room. 

"a horror movie" I heard Finn suggest. 

I smile into my cup again. This was hilarious to watch.
