"You're mine," Travis whispered as he slowly moved in and out of her the next morning. They woke up tangled in bedsheets, a sweet reminder of their night together for the first time in over five years.
"I'm yours," she replied, pulling his face to hers and kissing him deeply. Abigail shook her head and closed the door softly as she backed out of the room. She had gone in there to check on Taylor but wasn't shocked to find her still lying in bed with Travis.
"They won't be out for a while," Abigail said, walking into the living room once again. She laughed and shook her head as she plopped down on the couch.
"What are you talking about?" Selena asked, raising an eyebrow.
"If you know anything about Taylor, you know just how much she loves morning sex. They're not leaving that room." Abigail explained.
"They're having sex?" Selena asked, confused.
"Yes... why do you think they never came back last night after we all wrapped presents?" Kylie asked Selena, confused by the other woman's confusion.
"They had sex last night?!" Selena asked, shocked by the information she was learning.
"Oh my God, babe. Where is your head? How did you not catch on to that?" Cara asked her girlfriend.
"They were loud. We could hear them!" Kylie said, laughing at Selena.
"Where was I?!" Selena asked.
"You were literally right here with the rest of us. Are you okay?" Blake asked her, a little concerned for her memory.
"How drunk were you last night?" Jason asked her.
"I wasn't that drunk!" Selena tried to defend herself. "I only had a few drinks."
"A few too many," Cara joked. "Did you eat anything? I don't remember you eating anything."
"I had a piece of pizza," Selena replied. "But anyways, let's not talk about me. Let's talk about them! Are they back together now? Because if so, I never thought of Taylor to take back a cheater."
"Cheating has never been one of her dealbreakers," Abigail revealed. She had known Taylor her whole dating life, and cheating may have been the cause of some arguments she got into with exes, but it was never something that made Taylor outright break up with someone. For whatever reason, Taylor believed in second chances and letting her partners explain themselves when they had done something unreasonable. "If Travis hadn't been in the shower the night she looked in his phone and saw that he was cheating, we wouldn't be here today. If he was near her, able to pull her down back into him that night, they would have talked it over, stopped talking for a couple of days, and been fine again."
"Yeah, I know Joe cheated on her a couple of times, blamed it on his depression or some shit, and she didn't an eyelash over it. She only really broke up with him because he was bringing her down with him. She wanted to go out and have fun, and he just wanted to stay in and do nothing. Only time he did go out was some type of revenge for her going out, which led to the whole cheating shit," Blake explained what she knew of the relationship between Taylor and Joe.
"That doesn't make sense," Cara said, shaking her head.
"I was going to say the same thing," Kylie added. "She loves Trav. It's evident why she would give him a second chance. They were together for ten years. I don't know about this Joe guy. Wouldn't make sense for her to keep giving him a chance after chance for doing something like that to her."
"Unless she was planning on settling with him," Jason said.
"That might have been it," Blake said.
"She did have this plan for her life, that she wanted to be married with kids by a certain age. Maybe she was just going to do that with Joe because she felt there wouldn't be someone else," Abigail noted. They fell silent when the sound of a bedroom door opened.
"Morning," Taylor said, emerging from the bedroom, a smile present on her face. It was obvious she had been in and out of the shower, given her damp hair, which was starting to curl naturally the way she typically didn't allow to happen.
