[ Third Person Pov ]
Two spears immediately crossed in front of the noirette, causing her to jolt upright, her heart racing with fear. Soomin's gaze traveled away from the view of whoever that was, now focused on the shiny blades perched really close to her eyes. She heaved out a breath, understanding the silent message they were trying to pass.
“Such a lovely morning,” The man oppose her sat unruffled behind the najuban table filled with delicate tea sets, adorned with intricate designs and vibrant shades of mint. “Isn't it, Soomin?”
“Well, I—” slightly taken aback by the use how her name, the noirette paused. So they did know who she was, it was all a ploy, a plotted out scheme to have her here— her eyes wandered— wherever here was. “I demand to know why you kidnapped me!” Soomin rose her voice, disregarding the sleek and deadly weapons pointed at her, the blade glistening in the sunlight.
Hearing her hostile tone, the guards rose the weapons higher, waiting for the command to send her off.
The brunet scoffed at her harsh tone. “Kidnapped?” he irked a brow, bemused. “If anything you were handed to me by your father, as a peace treaty.”
“Oh yeah, right, my father,” A feigned amused smile graced Soomin's features, as she leaned back, resting a hand on her waist. “Let me guess, a long time ago before we were born, fate had already written our intertwined destinies with stardust ink and paper modelled from the finest, richest tree—”
Minho couldn't help the amused smirk escaping his rigid state. For some reason, her bizarre change of manners intrigued him, she was far different from the quiet, poise and well-behaved gonju that would only nod, speak when spoken to and would never look up at him.
“Quite the opposite, you were given to me so I'd stop tinting your rivers with the blood of the innocent—”
“Haha, funny,” Soomin gave a mock laugh. “Can I just go home now, please? This place gives me the creeps.” her eyes skimmed the spears in front of her. “And these guys too.”
Annoyed, she watched as he ignored her, taking a short sip of the almost cool omija tea. He let out a low satisfied sigh, slowly flaunting his left hand, his gesture made the guards put their weapons down. “Gonju Soomin,” he rose to his feet, light brown wisps of hair whipped past his fair skin as he approached her, but it was his perfectly smooth and well tailored myeonbok that caught her breath.
Soomin wondered if he would really spend this much to make this tomfoolery of a kidnap look real.
The closer he got to her the more she realized he had those delicate quintessential fearures she had only seen in movies. His sleeves rolled down, completely hiding his forearms, but the neckline of his attire slipped a bit, revealing his splendorous defined collarbone— just a peep, but he was close enough for every detail of it to burn into her memory.
The taller cleared his throat— a mannerism she had deduced that he used to gain her attention. “Over here, please,” his middle finger made contact with her chin, lift her lowered head. “Didn't you want to gaze upon my glorious face?” he had a subtle, enigmatic curve of the lips that spoke volume.
Feeling embarrassed, Soomin tore her eyes away from his body, only for her gaze to be caught by a pair of captivating dark brown eyes. “Yes, I want to leave,” Soomin pulled away from him.
His tired expression relaxed into a more officious one as he scanned her quickly. “You are a rogue one, aren't you?”
