Chapter 30

The chaotic atmosphere inside the Railyard Haven continued to swirl with adrenaline as EDC officers, under the command of Captain Steele and Captain Mikey, advanced against the drug-crazed gang members. The sound of pulse rounds echoed through the space as officers engaged the enemy, incapacitating foes one by one, while Steele yelled commands that cut through the noise.

"Give it all you've got!" Captain Steele shouted, his voice steady and loud amidst the turbulent battle. He fired pulse rounds with fierce precision, each shot disarming a gang member trained on his team.

To his side, Captain Mikey harnessed his power of sound resonance, amplifying his voice. "Keep your guards up! We're pushing them back!" He unleashed a deafening sonic blast that disoriented nearby enemies, sending them staggering backward as they covered their ears in agony.

"Follow their lead!" Aiden yelled to Titan Squad, rallying enthusiasm as he slung healing slime onto a fallen officer, helping him stand back up. "We've got to keep moving!"

"Stacy! Now!" Sora called out, summoning tendrils of darkness that ensnared a gang member, allowing Stacy to launch a plasma orb that exploded on impact, causing a concussion that sent others sprawling.

"Nice teamwork!" Stacy replied, energized by their combined efforts.

"Just keep crushing them!" Kai encouraged, surging electricity through his body as he created an electric whip, striking down any foe nearby, igniting the air with dazzling sparks.

"Amara! We need those clones now!" Captain Mikey urged, focusing on a mob forming near the entrance.

"On it!" Amara responded, creating ghostly duplicates of herself that darted into the fray, confusing and disorienting gang members while buying time for their squad to regroup.

"Zara, get into position! We need someone behind them!" Nate called out, pointing to a group of gang members advancing on a downed officer.

"Copy that," Zara replied calmly, locking eyes with one of the gang members. With a quick mental effort, she blinked away, swapping places with each of them between them to catch them off guard.

With each passing moment, the EDC officers began to push back the gang members, the tides slowly turning in their favor with heightened morale.

"Oh, we've got him cornered!" Nico shouted as he sent a jolt of bioelectric energy to a fellow officer, energizing him for another round of fighting.

"Bring it on!" the officer cheered, confidence flooding his veins as he charged into the fray.

Meanwhile, clear across the battlefield, Shawn lay lifeless on the ground, the fading sensation of his presence almost tangible as Trey and Rob engaged in a fierce battle with Jamal. After briefly witnessing Shawn's collapse, they rallied their determination, combining their powers and efforts to mount a defense.

"Let's see if you can keep up!" Trey yelled, practicing Jamal's glitch abilities that he had copied earlier as he maneuvered around him, matching his erratic movements.

"Just know, this doesn't change a damn thing!" Jamal shot back, narrowing his eyes. He smeared the blood from his split lip and lunged at Trey, dodging and weaving through his glitching form.

"Not strong enough to stop me! I'm going to kill all of you! " Jamal taunted, his confidence swelling with each punch he landed on Rob, who threw destructive strikes with all his might.

"Jamal, shut up and stay down!" Rob hollered, swiftly getting behind Jamal and launching a heavy punch at his back. "You've said the same thing already! You're just repeating yourself!"
