Vi, Claggor, Mylo, (Y/N) and Powder were chilling around in an old game center that was made into their safe space. Vi was punching a punch bag machine, beating her own record. Claggor was standing next to (Y/N), who was playing on one of the arcades. Powder and Mylo were playing a match on a gun game.
„Remind me, why we bother with this dump?" Mylo asked, already getting annoyed by the results of the game.
„Vander said to lay low. Enforcers never come down here, so this is as good a place as any." Vi answered when she was done. She rubbed her sweat with her hand, her breath sped up.
„Oh, what's the matter, Mylo? You worried Powder's gonna beat you again?" Claggor taunted while Mylo was shooting, not making a single shot. (Y/N) giggled at this. Mylo only picked his nose, not caring about what his friend said.
„Hey, if he didn't keep fixing these things, I wouldn't keep missing." He reasoned, making Powder mad at him.
„You guys know I wouldn't take you on a job you couldn't handle, right?" Vi asked out of nowhere.
„Are you kidding? That was the best job we've ever done! Maybe just don't take Powder next time... um." Mylo said, making (Y/N) turn around in disbelief.
Reloading his gun with a glare at the older boy, Powder suddenly locked in, closing one eye. After a short breath, he started to shoot, hitting every target. (Y/N) eyes widened a little, never seeing Powder in such form, but she quickly turned around back to her game, not wanting to stare. When he was done, he only made a face at Mylo, putting his gun down. He turned around and made his way to his best friend, looking over her shoulder at the game she was playing. But then he saw something.
Coming closer to a big glass showcase, he peeked through a small hole made in it. He was shocked when he saw enforcers holding a guy with force.
„Tell me where I can find them." One of them asked him.
„Topsiders business ain't my concern." The guy answered, clearly not wanting to sold out his people.
„It's every one of you trencher's concern now. Give me a name." The enforcer asked again, slowly getting mad.
The man took a big breath in, only to spit on the enforcers shoes. Powder took a step back, understanding what might happen next.
„Hey, guys? You should see this-" Before he could end his sentence, the glass broke aggressively with a guy flying through it.
Everyone stopped in their tracks, not knowing what to do.
Seeing a group of kids inside, the main enforcer started to look around in suspicion.
„Search them."
The enforcers came into the silent room, making everyone worried what might happen. Looking at them, you could tell, that the kids are trying to hide the thought. Everyone except Powder.
Remembering about the stones in his pocket, he looked at Vi, trying to search any kind of help in her eyes. Getting why Powder looks so scared, her eyes immediately turned wide.
„Go ahead, idiots! We've got nothing." Mylo said with his hands up, being overly confident.
When the enforcer, the same one that was talking to the thrown guy, came closer to Powder, Vi needed to think fast. Looking at Claggor, she saw him already next to the lever, that turned ultraviolet light, making it harder to see.
ESCAPE FROM THE ARCADE
All of the kids took a chance a tried to run.
While Powder quickly turned around, Mylo swiftly kicked one of soldier, falling on the other side of the counter. Taking his game in he started shouting with a scream, only to remember that the gun was fake. When the men he tried to shoot wanted to get him, one of them got knocked out by Vi, that thrown a slab with Mylo's face at him. (Y/N) simply run while holding Claggor, who easily pushed their enemy's around. She tried to keep her breath as steady as possible, so she just made sure to have Claggor's shirt in her hand.
Powder, trying to get out of their gun game field, got yanked by his braid by the aggressive enforcer. Trying to get away, he needed to hurt him, by closing a sharp ended dummy with his hand inside. Right after that, Vi grabbed his hand and run away with him.
Getting to one of the alleys, they didn't turn back, knowing that the enforcers are already on their back.
Vi suddenly stopped with hands open, making everyone stop in their tracks. Noticing other pair of the force, the kids tried to take the turn, only to be met with the soldier they tricked in the arcade.
Not seeing other way out of this, Vi started to panic, looking around frequently. Then all of them heard a whistle.
„Ekko!" (Y/N) said, pointing out above. The teenagers looked up, noticing a familiar face and a ladder, that came down rather quickly.
„Over here!" He yelled, acknowledging how bad the situation is.
Vi, being the closest, get on in first. Then was Claggor. After helping (Y/N) was Mylo and the last one was Powder. Almost getting caught by the men, he gasped, moving faster than before. When he stood up safely on the ground, Vi saw that the aggressive one wanted to shoot them. Not thinking of any other solution, she kicked down the ladder on him, making his team pass out.
Getting the ladder from him, the girl saw that he was furious.
„You need to hide those crystals." She said to her brother, turning around.
„Yeah, no shit." Powder answered, walking with her into a tunnel.
