-Bite Me: ENHYPEN

'Ow, my head...'

Chen Y/N winced as he pulled himself up, his hand instinctively going to his temple as he rubbed away the pain. A dull ache throbbed behind his eyes, like he'd been hit with something heavy—or maybe he'd just overworked himself again.

'God, Seung-jae's never gonna let me live this down...'

The leader of SIREN, Y/N's boy group, had scolded the maknae not to overwork himself more times than he'd like to admit, and look where it had gotten him—lying in some unfamiliar room with no memory of how he'd ended up there.

Y/N blinked away the pain as he glanced around his room, which eerily reminded him of his own room—but it wasn't quite the same.

The walls were the same red shade that his were, and the bed was positioned in the same spot, but the details were off. The posters on the wall weren't his. Instead of the photos of SIREN or his favorite artists, there were simple landscapes—rolling hills and cherry blossoms under a bright sky. None of SIREN's albums were there on his bookshelves—just books that he barely remembered having.

Y/N looked at the calendar that was plastered on his wall, and his eyes just about bugged out of his head.

2016.

What? But SIREN hadn't even debuted yet...

Just to make sure his members weren't playing a prank on him, he grabbed his phone and went to Google, typing in 'SIREN boy group' into the search bar and hitting 'Enter'. He expected to see articles about the boy group, or even about him—he was a self-made K-drama actor, after all, it'd be hard not to find articles about him at the very least—but there was nothing about SIREN. At least, not the SIREN he knew.

"What the fuck...?" Y/N's voice came out in a strangled whisper as he sat down on his bed.

'Alright, Y/N, calm down, it's not the end of the world. Y-you're just stuck in 2016. You went back in time. Where...you didn't even meet your members. Because SIREN didn't debut yet.'

'...you know, now that I just talked to myself, it doesn't make this situation any less crazy.'

He had somehow, somehow, went back to 2016, the year before SIREN debuted. No debut, no members, no group...just him. Alone. In a timeline where his career hadn't even started yet.

Y/N groaned as he stood up. He needed coffee.

As he went over to the door of 'his' room, he glanced at the calendar, and then his eyes widened.

Today's date was circled—and under that was written: 'Take Yoo-jin to Busan by train for her birthday. Train leaves at 11:50 AM.'

...who the fuck was Yoo-jin?

Y/N blinked in confusion as he went down the hall, and on the way, he passed by one room which had the door cracked open. He peered inside, and there he saw a little girl, probably 10 years old, who was sleeping, her chest rising and falling steadily. The more he looked at her, the more he saw the resemblance - same (H/C) hair, same skin tone...the resemblance was uncanny.

'Aish, could today get any more confusing...?'

Y/N checked the time on his watch. 11 AM.

'Fuck. Me.'

"Uh...Yoo-jin?" he tried, his voice coming out in a whisper.

The girl cracked her (E/C)-colored eyes open, looking up at him with a sleepy but bright smile. "Uncle Y/N?" She rubbed her eyes sleepily and smiled again, as if it was the most natural thing in the world. "Are you ready for the trip to Busan? You promised to take me on the train today, remember?"

Y/N plastered on a smile. After all, if he was going to figure out how to get to his world, he would play along, right? And plus, the girl was pretty cute. "Yep." He tapped on the doorframe a few times. "Get up, kiddo, we've got a train to catch."

Yoo-jin blinked up at him, still half asleep but clearly excited at the mention of the train. She sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes with one hand and stretching her arms with the other. "I'm up! I'm up! Just a sec..."

"What did you say you wanted to do at Busan, Yoo-ji-?" Y/N was suddenly cut off his sentence when he slammed the breaks hard in order to stop for an ambulance and a few police cars who were passing by. "Jesus...what's going on this early?"

Now that he thought about it, he swore this scene could have looked familiar...like he'd watched it in a movie or something...

"Are we going to be okay, Uncle?" Yoo-jin asked as she leaned to get a better view and peered out of the window.

Y/N's grip tightened on the steering wheel as the ambulance and police cars sped past them, their sirens wailing through the early morning air. The chaotic scene hit him like a punch to the gut, a sense of dread creeping up his spine.

He glanced at Yoo-jin. "We're fine, kiddo. Just a little traffic. Nothing to worry about."

He glanced at her in the rearview mirror. "Now, what was it you said you wanted to do?"
