A tense silence hanging in the air of Dohwan's office, the faint scent of Olivia's perfume lingering. Dohwan, his tie askew and his face a mask of conflicted emotions, sits behind his desk, staring blankly at the wall. Olivia, her bleached blonde hair slightly disheveled, crosses her arms and leans against the bookshelf, a smirk playing on her lips. She breaks the silence, her voice a seductive purr, "Well, Dohwan, that was quite the... distraction. Did you manage to get her out of your head?"
Dohwan's eyes flick to hers, a storm of anger and regret brewing, "What we did was a mistake, Olivia. You know who my heart belongs too." The room crackles with tension as Olivia steps closer, her eyes gleaming with both challenge and understanding. "Does it, though? You just used me to fill her void." The conversation sets the stage for an emotional dance of power and desire, as they both navigate the complexities of their actions. Dohwan sighs heavily, rubbing a hand over his face. "Olivia, you know this isn't about you. It's about... my inability to move on. And now, I've just complicated things further.
"Ah, so now it's 'fun' you're having second thoughts about?" She saunters closer, her hips swaying with an unspoken confidence. "Dohwan, we both know that life is too short for regrets. What we had was a moment of pure, unfiltered pleasure. Why taint it with guilt? I do see why she is stuck between the two of you though.." Dohwan stiffens at the mention of Amelia, his eyes flashing briefly. "Olivia, don't do this right now." Olivia shrugs her shoulders "I'm just saying."
Dohwan rises from his chair, pacing the room. "Saying what, exactly? That I'm a fool for still loving a woman who's with my best friend?" His words hang in the air, sharp as the creases in his suit. With a dramatic sigh, Olivia runs her fingers through her hair, letting the locks fall back into place with a shake of her head. "No, Dohwan. I'm saying that she has you both wrapped around her little finger like fools." Dohwan stops pacing back and forth to look at Olivia " It's not like that."
Olivia watches him with an amused expression, the kind that suggests she's heard it all before. She leans against the bookshelf again, her arms crossed over her chest, and tilts her head slightly. "It's love, Dohwan. Or at least that's what you've convinced yourself. But love isn't supposed to make you miserable, now is it?" Her voice is softer now, the challenge replaced with a gentle teasing that feels almost affectionate.
Dohwan's jaw clenches as he contemplates her words. The room seems to shrink around them, the bookshelves closing in like the walls of a prison cell. He takes a deep breath, his eyes never leaving hers. "Misery is a small price to pay for a love that's worth fighting for. But what we just had, Olivia, it wasn't serious It was about.. A momentary escape. With Amelia, and I it was deeper...But it doesn't change the fact that I made a promise to Kook, and to myself, that I would honor his relationship with her." He pauses, his gaze dropping to the floor for a brief moment before returning to hers. "And now, I feel like I'm going to break that promise."
Olivia's smirk fades, and she pushes off the bookshelf to stand straight. "Love is about more than fighting, Dohwan. It's about choosing to be happy, even when the world isn't playing fair. Maybe your friendship with Kook is strong enough to survive this, but if it isn't... is your love for Amelia worth losing everything?" She steps closer, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Is she worth it? Is she worth your life? You know he would kill you right?" Dohwan's eyes searched Olivia's, as if looking for the answer in their depths. He felt the weight of his words pressing down on him, the gravity of the situation threatening to crush his very soul. His chest rose and fell with the heavy rhythm of his contemplation.
