Logan Howlett

Chapter 1

Valorie, a 14 year old mutant girl that was put into experiments by the government and her parents. And because of those decisions she lost her voice, she became mute. She had scars all on her body from the torture and pain. The scientists did tests on her causing her power to grow weaker and weaker,to where she couldn't use it anymore without a lot of pain or anger.

One day, as Valorie is lying in her cell crying from the experiments she had endured earlier. She hears alarms go off and gunshots being fired. Then suddenly the door to her cell is forced open and she crawls into the corner. Wolverine walks in his eyes softening at her and he retracts his claws and kneels calling out to her.

"Hey kid I'm not gonna hurt you but you need to come with me we are getting you out of here."
He says in a gentle but rushed tone.

Valorie hesitates before running to him and holding onto him tightly. Wolverine then picks her up and takes her out of the lab back onto their ship with others. When she sees everyone she gets overwhelmed and scared, she hides her face in Wolverines neck not wanting to let go of him. He surprisingly lets her even when Storm comes over and offers to take Valorie with the others. Storm and the rest of the team couldn't believe he said no. Usually he doesn't like kids but for some reason he wouldn't let Valorie leave his side.

As the plane takes off and they go back to the school Valorie starts to drift off, but makes herself wake up as she still was scared. Wolverine noticed and looked down at her whispering
"Kid it's okay I've got you.. you can sleep.."

And after a while Valorie does fall asleep in his arms. Hours later once they land at the school, Wolverine doesn't wake her up he just carries her inside to his room laying her on the bed.
