20 years after..

After Claudia and Eduardo parted ways, Claudia made a bold decision to go abroad, seeking a fresh start, and run away from the haunting memories of the accident and from the reason behind all of it, Eduardo.

Eduardo, on the other hand, decided to pour all his time into painting. He became a well-known painter in the Philippines. He decided to turn his back on politics—the sole reason why his family was torn down to pieces.

"Eduardo, this is a good painting. I wonder who your subject is. Kung sino man siya, she's very lucky." One of his colleagues stated they are currently having a little get-together in the hacienda.

Eduardo could only smile in return; he focused his sight on the painting that was hanging at the center of the house; The artwork features a woman gracefully positioned with her back to the canvas, her head turned slightly to the side, producing a tantalizing glimpse of her profile. He emphasized the contours of her body, highlighting the elegant curves and subtle details that bring her form to life, while her perfectly fine jawline was beautifully highlighted. This is his favorite and holds this painting close to his heart. His masterpiece.

"Hon, kanina pa kita pinatatawag kanila manang, nandito ka lang pala. Halika na, kain na tayo," Claudia stated as soon as she entered Eduardo's art room.

Eduardo stood up with a brush on his one hand and said, "I already found one! "He exclaimed

"Found one? What? Eduardo? She asked baffled

Eduardo smiled at her; he held her face. "Hon, would you mind being the star of my painting? I want to paint you, my love."

"Haynako, tigilan mo ako Eduardo ha, halika na't kumain na lang tayo," she said, then walked to the door.

Before she could open the door, Eduardo blocked her way using his body, "Hon, please? Just this one," he pleaded with his 'paawa eyes.

Claudia rolled her eyes and then sighed, "Fine, but only my back, ha? Wala akong ayos eh," she surrendered.

Eduardo's face lit up, and his smile grew wider as he knew his wife could never say no to his 'paawa eyes.'

"Maganda ka pa rin naman, hon. Honestly, your no-ayos look is my favorite! But okay, your back na lang, baka magbago pa isip mo eh," he uttered and planted a swift kiss on her lips, then released a small laugh when he saw his wife turning red like a tomato.

"Haynako, Eduardo! 'wag ka nang mangbola diyan, pumayaga na ako 'di ba?"She said while giggling.

Eduardo could only laugh at her wife's response.

"Anyway, paano ba ang gagawin mo? Where do I sit? "She asked

Eduardo assisted her; he coached her on how to pose; he slightly brought down one side of her shirt, then made her slightly face her right side.

They stayed in his art room until the sunset, forgetting about lunch and everything and enjoying each other's company. They exchanged a lot of stories and laughed in between their painting session. The art room was filled with echoes of laughter and tease. It was as if they made their new world inside that small, four-cornered room.

For Claudia and Eduardo, this is all that matters. They, living their silly little world, forgetting everything for a short while. Just them, their jokes, their teases, and their love.

Eduardo was gently pulled back to reality when one of his friends patted him on the back.

"Pare, mauna na kami. I still have to fetch my son sa school niya, tapos alam mo naman itong si Marco; kikitain pa ang side chick niya," his friend jokingly said.

"Gago! May makarinig sayo, makarating pa kay misis!" his other friend replied

They all burst into laughter while continuing to tease each other.

"Thank you, mga pare. Next time, let's go golfing, naman. Ingat kayo." Eduardo said his goodbye, then watched his friends make their way out of the house.

Eduardo then gazed at the painting in front of him; he smiled bitterly and then shook his head.

"I'm sorry, Claudia.."
