19. MISUNDERSTANDING

Isha Pov

Waking up early, I took hot shower and changed into the kurti I brought.

I went downstairs to see both men waiting for me.

Ashwin Bhai was driving the car and next to him sat dhruv while I settled myself behind.

The car halted infront of a house which I guess is that Megha or whoever they were speaking about last night.

We were welcomed by a beautiful lady who I suppose is megha

" You are his wife ?" She asks pointing to dhruv and I say no before smiling

" I wish he could atleast move on" Dhe said

" Mumma nithi is crying!" In came a girl around 8 years old.

" Oh what did you do to her ? " Megha glares at the kid shravani

" I didn't do anything mumma " she speaks and then looks at me confused

I smile

" Hi shravani I'm Isha, your dhruv chachu's friend! You can call me Isha di !" I say and she smiles

" Come di I will show you around the house!" Saying she dragged me along with her.

While going I saw the cutie Nithya, Ashwin bhai's daughter, I chuckle as I remember how she addressed deeksha as aunty.

I went near and took her in my arms and kissed her cheeks she smiled

" Hi baby girl!" I say and kiss her other cheek when I felt someone's gaze on me, it was dhruv. He looked at me with a small smile. I smile back and move with shravani who is dragging me along.

" This is my room " she says and shows me everything including her toys and I smile

" This is Jiya chachi's room" she says and I stop myself from going in

Because I know I shouldn't

" No baby it's fine I'll go down I'm hungry" I say but she dragged me along and she kept showing me some stuff but I bring her back out saying it shouldn't be touched as it's now very special to dhruv chachu she nods smiling.

Good kid

I went to kitchen and helped Megha.

Just then my phone rang, it was mom. I answered the call and was speaking happily. Trying my best to not let her find my lie.

Dhruv Pov

I was speaking with Megha but when my eyes landed on Ashwin who was looking at his wife photo. I doubted about my decision, am I doing right by trying to move on.
Or am I cheating on my jiya ?
When Ashwin can stay alone why can't I?
I was so confused about my decision that I went into jiya's room and my eyes filled with rage

The last memory of jiya. The photo we took before the accident. It was broken.

I clenched my fist when I saw shravani enter with fear

" Chachu I ... I. ..." She tries to speak but looking at my anger she doesn't

" WHO DID THIS SHRAVANI?" I shout

" Woh... Ish-ha di stoppe-" Shravani stuttering was cut shot as I left the room

How could she ?

I heard her voice in kitchen, in call with her parents. I went and grabbed her arm

" HOW DARE YOU ISHA SHARMA ? WHO GAVE YOU THE RIGHT TO TOUCH MY THINGS ? WHO THE HECK ARE YOU ? HUH ? HOW CAN YOU EVEN THINK OF BREAKING THE LAST MEMORY OF HER ????" I said

I heard her hiss in pain and that's when I realised that I have slapped her.

Shit! I slapped her!

I was shocked at my actions when she looked at me with hurt

" I'M SORRY MR. KHANNA, I SHOULDN'T HAVE COME HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE AND ... I DIDN'T BREAK YOUR STUFF! GET THAT IN YOUR BRAIN !" She said harshly wiping her tears

She didn't? Then why did Shravani said her name

I look at her and she left looking at me with emotions that I couldn't understand.

Shravani entered the kitchen and cried saying
" Chachu .. you are bad chachu, you hit her, you are a bad person, I accidentally broke that and she already said me to not to do anything because it's yours chachu" she ran

Shit!
What have I done now ?!

I immediately ran outside looking for Isha in guilt. And saw her taking scooty and started following her.

I accused her!
Now she will never forgive me!

My eyes brim with tears as I remember her teary eyes with hurt

I freaking hurt her!
How can I even do this!?

I drove as fast as I can when I saw her no more. A loud thud was heard my breathing went irregular as I scream

" ISHA ........!" I stopped the car and ran outside

Blood all over. She is breathing heavily. My hands shivered looking at her, I ran and placed her head on my lap.

" ISHA ... LOOK-K AT ME " I scream crying

" I-i... Dhruv-v.. " she smiled before closing her eyes...

All the past memories replay in my head.

No I can't lose you too dammit
Get up.

The fear of losing her made my heart wrench. I rushed her to the hospital.

'Please God don't take her away from me. Because this time I can't live alone'

At this moment I realised something... That I am falling ... No I have fallen for Isha already

I was pacing and praying continuously

Please god
I know I'm a jerk for behaving in such a way with her. I don't deserve that angel whom you sent in my life.
My moon 🌝 in my dark sky. Please god give me a chance to do things in right way. I love-e her, I can't lose her
Please don't take her away from me.

" Mr. Khanna!" I look at the doctor

" She is fine now, you can meet her after 2 hours" I nodded saying thanks and waited for the 2 hours to end soon.
