"You're killing me slow, so, slowly,"
~ I Feel Like I'm Drowning (Two Feet)

Zane ♧~

"Your brain is too weak to mess with hers," Santos," I say darkly to Lilith, standing in front of me with her cocky, irritating smirk in front of an old building where we happened to have clashed while trying to attend the same kind of business.

"She seemed naive, to be honest," she chuckled.

"You're so wrong." I gave her a sharp look, "And I'm not. Hope you know that by now."

Her smirk disappeared for a moment, and she looked at me with narrowed eyes but then again chuckled darkly.

"Oh, please. You're so in love with her that you're almost floating in the air with heart eyes and a stupid lovey dovey act," She rolled her eyes and said.

"It's so obvious," she said again, looking into my eyes, more like glaring and smirking at me.

"And?" I snarled back, my eyes darkening and my hands turning into fists.

"It's weak," She chuckled again, and I could feel my anger about to snap.

She was running by the edge of an exceptionally sharp knife, and she was about to either cut herself or fall down.

And she'd get killed in both.

"Verrai ucciso, Santos, molto presto," I glared back at her, my voice serious, "Quindi stai lontano."
(Translation: You're gonna get killed soon, Santos, so stay away)

She grinned even more, but I could somewhat notice the slight hint of fear in her laughter.

"Forse," She spoke again, "Ma prima mi vendicherò," She sent another glare at me, her smirk disappearing again.
(Translation: Maybe, but I'll get my revenge first)

"Tentativa," I said, sending her a cold glare before turning back and starting to walk away as I felt her own glare on my back.
(Translation: Try)

I could see my men standing a few feet away and walked to them, lifting my right hand up from my pockets and pointed a finger towards the exit, gesturing them to get in the cars.

I walked to my own car and sat in, sighing and leaning my head back against the driver's seat and closing my eyes.

What if I really like Ivana?
No, I already do. I love her.

And she doesn't even know it, yet she has my enemies going after her.

I would fúcking kill them if they did something, that's for sure.

I lifted my head up again as my phone rang, the screen reading Zander's name.

"I'm done here, two million euro came in," He spoke, his voice cold as usual, "From Germany,"

I sighed again, "Good. Is everyone okay?"

"Yeah.... Are you?" He said.

This guy literally knows things he shouldn't.

"Yes." I said again through gritted teeth.
I had no reason to tell them a thing and they shouldn't have to care about my problems either.

I heard him sighing, "You're not," He said, a bit softly this time, "Don't do it again, Zane...."

I shut my eyes close forcefully and gritted my teeth harder, clenching my jaw.

"Get back to work," I said and hung up without letting him answer.

I put my phone into my pocket again and run a hand through my hair.

I probably won't. That is, if I don't get any reason not to.

Ivana and Lilith walked through the corridor, hand in hand as they conversed, no, gossiped about something.

It made my blood boil, my hands turning into fists, my breathing getting heavier.

Lilith sent an obnoxious look along with her usual smirk in my direction and I felt like I could snap any moment.

"Zane," Kieran's voice made me look back to him as he placed a hand on my shoulder, "Just kill her,"

"I wish I had a delusional brain like yours, Fernando," I said, sighing and running a hand through my hair.

He gave a glare and flinched dramatically, "I'm hurt,"

"Very well," I rolled my eyes at him.

"Only if it was that easy to kill Lilith Santos, she wouldn't have been the one competing Xaderon," I said.

"It's not about Lilith, is it?" Xavier's voice continued as he stepped in front of me, "It was never about Lilith,"

I narrowed my eyebrows.
What does he mean?

"It was about... her," He pointed a finger at a laughing and completely chuckling-mess, Ivana, who couldn't even predict what was about to come for her. And neither did any of us. Except Santos.

"Zane, you know you can tell us, right?" Zander gave me a worried look and ai shrugged.

"I'm fine, all of you," I sent a glare at them, even though they knew just how fine I was.

My eyes went back to the two girls, still chatting about something.

Ivana's eyes suddenly moved from Lilith to me, and they widened in an instant, her sweet smile intoxicating as it came towards me.

I couldn't help but soften my own gaze slightly, my tense muscles relaxing for a few seconds.

I could feel my heart racing, my breath hitching in my throat.

I swallowed, her gaze moving back to Lilith as she walked further into the hallways.

I looked down at the floor as she left, sighing and running a hand through my hair, trying to come back from whatever she did to me with that one smile.

I couldn't remember that one time I smiled like that.

I could feel a hand rest on my shoulder shortly after, my instincts saying it was Xavier, and then he removed it and I heard footsteps going away.

Please.
Please, Twilight.
Don't do this to me, don't be friends with Lilith Santos.

That is all I've been able to think of ever since Lilith came here.
