Abhimanyu arrived in the evening later, his expression still stern.
Manik who came home just before Abhimanyu frowned looking at two guilty faces. He was about to inquire but Abhimanyu interrupted in between by calling both of them in study. That's when Manik got a brief idea that they might have done something to deserve this.
In the study -
Both Aarav and Anay were looking at the floor as it seems the most beautiful and interesting thing to them right now.
" Ager carpet pe apka crush katam ho gaya hi tuh, uper dekh lijiye jara " Abhimanyu says taunting them.
" Kabse ? " Abhimanyu asked sternly.
" Mera 2 mahine se " Aarav replied.
Abhimanyu turns towards Anay for the answer.
" Mera vo.. 2- 2 saal se " Anay says. Abhimanyu looked at Anay with hurt expressions and then turned towards Aarav.
" Kyu chupaya? Mai kha jata kya bata dete tuh ? " Abhimanyu said.
" Vahi tuh kar rahe ho " Anay murmurs under his breath.
Abhimanyu glared at Anay to which he again just looked down.
" Bikes tumhari thi ? " Abhimanyu asked.
" Nhi rented thi " Aarav replied.
" From now on if you want to ride bikes, you guys have to follow some rules " Abhimanyu said making them surprised.
Anay and Aarav both looked at Abhimanyu astonished. They were still not sure if they heard right.
" Aap hame bikes chalane denge ? " Aarav asked.
" Kuch rules hai lekin " Abhimanyu says.
Aarav happily hugged Abhimanyu. He expected every punishment he ever could but turns out to his baba is not angry.
" Aap such me gussa nhi ho ? " Aarav asked.
" Gussa nhi hu disappointed hu, ek baar Aaru, ek baar batata tuh, I would I Stop you from being yourself. If you like doing something, I would happily support you baccha. If you like riding bikes I will let you ride those but with some rules. If you are ready to follow the rules, I am ready to let you ride. " Abhimanyu said.
Aarav just jumped onto Abhimanyu hugged him. " Thankyou thank you , thankyou so much baba, I am so so so ready to follow the rules. "
"Listen, here are the rules: Firstly, I'll only allow you to ride on racing tracks, not on public roads. Secondly, you can ride only twice a month. And lastly, you'll never ride alone; one of us will always accompany you. If you agree to follow these rules, I have no problem letting you ride bikes." Abhimanyu said.
" I am fine with the rules baba , thankyou so much again , and I am sorry, mujhe aapse ye baat chupani nhi chahiye thi. I promise aaj ke baad kuch nhi chupaunga , I am sorry baba " Aarav says holding his ears feeling guilty. His baba was so supportive and understanding, he felt really bad that he hid something from him.
" Koi n baccha, ab ghar ke bade aisi harkatein karenge, toh chote toh unke hi kadmo par chalenge n ." Abhimanyu says looking at Anay who was still looking down feeling guilty for the act he pulled.
" Bhaiy..." Anay was about to speak but Abhimanyu interpreted.
" Teri punishment decide kare Aaru ? " Abhimanyu said totally ignoring Anay.
" Hm " Aarav didn't deny, he knew he was at fault and felt really bad after lying too.
" Hmm? Tum man gaya ? " Abhimanyu asked shocked as his child would have not agreed this easily for punishment, this was new to him.
