5 years after...Daniel has now begun junior high. Last year, he made a friend named Jayden Miller. At break time , Daniel finally told Jayden what he saw 5 years ago.
Jayden: Are you serious? Someone just trespassed your yard and just dug there?
Daniel: Yep.
Jayden: Well, what do you plan to do with it.
Daniel: I've thought about digging it back up again. But it's been years now and the soil has hardened.
Jayden: Well, at least we can try?
Daniel: sure...
Saturday,
Daniel and Jayden got shovels from Daniel's shed. Daniel tried to remember where the men had dug. Luckily nothing has been growing on the hole so it was easy to spot. They dug. They dug more. They dug more and more and more. Until Jayden hit something.
Jayden: I hit something!
Daniel: Quickly! Dig it out!
Jayden: Oh nevermind, I just hit an old soup can
Daniel: Well, do you think you can come tommorow?
Jayden: Sure, the hole is quite deep. We'll have a better chance of digging whatever you saw.
