"Hello, Doc." Timothy Morris approached Dr. Sebastian's Range Rover and greeted him cheerfully.
"Hello, Tim." Dr. Sebastian replied, his expression serious.
Dr. Sebastian was a middle-aged man in his late forties. While he didn't possess striking features or an extraordinary presence, his personality had an undeniable magnetism that drew people to him and made them like him instantly.
He was sitting in the driver's seat, gazing out the window at his assistant, Timothy Morris, who stood waiting.
"Get in... we need to head to house number 13," Sebastian said, unlocking the car door.
"But today we have a meeting with the Cybernexa team to decide if we're going to enter into a contract with them," Timothy said as he settled into the passenger seat.
"Before meeting the representatives of Cybernexa, I think we should meet one of their clients and understand why she's complaining about a malfunctioning AI system that was recently installed in her house," Dr. Sebastian explained, recounting Kelly Jenkins' phone call.
"Is that necessary?" Tim asked, fastening his seatbelt.
"Every company has a few unsatisfied clients."
"This seems more serious than a typical complaint," Dr. Sebastian replied.
"If we're going to work with Cybernexa, we must ensure their systems are reliable and safe."
"But I haven't heard of any client fearing for their life due to a malfunctioning AI system," Dr. Sebastian remarked.
"Maybe the lady was exaggerating to gain your attention," Tim suggested.
Dr. Sebastian had already started driving again. They were leaving Brooklyn Avenue, just a few kilometers from the Stoneblock residential area where house no. 13 was.
"We'll find out soon enough," Dr. Sebastian said, focusing on the road ahead.
"If there's any truth to her claims, we must address it immediately. I need to see for myself how a well-developed AI system could malfunction so severely that the user fears for her life," Dr. Sebastian insisted.
"And I want to understand why a customer of Cybernexa, a company renowned in the AI field, is complaining about their poor customer support."
Tim nodded, realizing the gravity of the situation.
"Let's hope it's just a misunderstanding," he replied.
Dr. Sebastian drove with determination, the urgency of Kelly's call echoing in his mind as they approached the Stoneblock residential area.
"Hmm," Tim said in a low voice.
"Read these complaints that Kelly Jenkins made over the past few weeks to Cybernexa and then read how Cybernexa responded to her and tried to resolve the faults in her AI system." Dr. Sebastian handed his tablet to Tim, the file of Kelly Jenkins open, recently sent by Cybernexa.
Tim took the tablet and began reading.
"Let's see what we're dealing with," he said, scrolling through the documents.
As they approached Stoneblock residential area, the gravity of the situation weighed on both of them. The detailed complaints and Cybernexa's responses would shed light on the extent of the AI system's malfunctions and the company's efforts to address them.
Tim continued reading as Dr. Sebastian drove toward the house on the hill.
"Ms. Kelly Jenkins required a customized AI system to assist in the treatment of her sick son," Tim said, summarizing the information.
