Quick question for those of you who are chronically online:
Why are we still choosing to comment on this?
I think that over this past year, a lot of us have found ourselves in these parasocial relationships and holding onto celebrities and content creators like it's our lifelines. We need to be able to allow ourselves to grow and keep what has happened in 2024.
By January 2025, we need to realise that we will not always be able to hold on to these celebrities. If you can't find a way to do that, that's on you.
So much has happened as of May 2024. We need to forgive and forget.

Supporting a creator or celebrity is different than holding on to one like a lifeline, we need to be able to draw a line where we will be supporting that person- whether through good or bad moments. Thinking that you need to involve yourself in a situation that is not yours, especially if it is celebrity drama, is unhealthy and not needed. We do NOT need to publicise everything and create more of a problem than it already is.
If you want to support someone, that is YOUR opinion. Not anyone else's.
You do not have to feel the need to put your opinions everywhere and spread them as if it is the only right thing. Keep it to yourself, or friends who agree with you.
When you publicise your thoughts and opinions, you may upset others who do not think the same. That doesn't mean you SHOULDN'T express your opinions, but keep it respectful without creating more hate.
For example: Wilbur and Shelby's situation.
We absolutely did NOT need to create support systems and sides. It was not our problem to solve. Both Wilbur and Shelby are adults who can find a way to solve things on their own.
If it was a real problem, it should NOT have been brought to the internet where things are blown out of proportion and every little detail may be far from the truth.
