I walk into class, still dizzy from the lack of blood. The lack of blood had always made me very sick and tired, though I'm used to it. But today was different… It has been almost a month since I haven't had blood. I'm going to die if it keeps going like this.
Then, the cold breeze of the classroom hits my skin. I shiver. The bright lights make my head spin.
I never enjoyed being in school, I only go to it to fit in. (In vampire years, i am 15, but im actually around 1000. I look around 15, so it doesn't matter.)
I stumble to my seat, my vision blurry. I sit at my desk in the middle of the last row. My human friend- Emma comes over worried. She knows about me, and only she knows what I am.
“Oliver… are you okay?” she whispers, her face filled with concern.
“Yeah don't worry, I'm fine” I said, my voice shaking.
Emma could tell I was lying. She could see right through my facade. I was, but I didn’t want to say anything about it.
“You obviously are not okay.” she spoke in a stern tone. She reminded me of a mother. She is so kind to me.Then, her boyfriend grabbed her waist and distracted her. I was alone again. I put my head down on the cold desk and took deep breaths. Her boyfriend was one of the popular jocks. Honestly, I was surprised when they first started dating because, firstly, they are literally the opposite of each other, and second, I thought he didn't know she existed! But I don't care because it's none of my business.
Then the brunette walks over to me and starts his daily routine of taunts “You ugly freak!” he says with a chuckle.
“Leave me alone.” I stated coldly.
“Why should i?” the boy says when I respond to his nonsense.
I sigh and look down at the desk.
…ugh Andrew the bully, the homophobe, there are a million things bad about him, enough I could list them for days, but the one good…really good thing… his blood smells delicious, I need to try it ...ugh! I need to keep it together.

It is now the end of the day, and I walk (very slowly thanks to the girls gossiping in front of me) to my locker. Locker 137, I open my orange locker and pull out my backpack and homework. Then, I made my way to the front exit.
I start walking to the coffee shop that I always attend. I entered the local coffee shop, and my neutral face dropped more than it already was. I see Andrew and his gang… his group of friends consists of 4 people. Andrew, Aaron, Blake, and Misty. (misty is Aaron's girlfriend) they all suck.
I try to ignore them and walk to a table in the back. I ordered my cup of coffee and pastry. While I wait, I do my homework.
When I was about to finish, Andrew walked over and sat at my table. What's his deal???
I watch Andrew carefully. But he seems…not hostile? He looks at me calmly. Then he speaks, his voice calm and almost soothing.“...don't ask any questions. Just-” he pauses before continuing, “just let me sit here.” The brunette states before he takes a sip of his coffee and turns on his laptop.
Then, the young blonde waitress with hazel eyes smiled and handed me my coffee. I thanked her. She walked off, skipping as she walked.
Andrew spoke up, “you drink plain coffee? Gross.” he scoffed.
Why is he even near me??? I decided to speak up.
“Why are you even here?!” I spoke a little louder than I should have.
He looked…surprised? He sighed.
“Why can't I be?” The brunette stared at me.I huffed. His scent was strong. I couldn't leave…I needed to be around him. I took a sip of my coffee.
“Try mine. It is way better than whatever that is.” Andrew spoke up.
Try this?...“Uhm..” Before i could say anything, he shoved the drink near me.
“Try.”
“Okay?”
I tried the drink. It was good.
“Your right” I agree. He…smiled. And not like a mocking one.
