The word love is one of those words that in which when you look at it, you dont think anything of it. But when you look at a deeper level, when you want to understand that word, when you look at it at in a different perspective, you realize that love is an emotion in which the human being cannot survive without. Because love is very important and significant in a human beings life. They have told us how to dress ourselves, how to take care of ourselves, how to properly feed ourselves- these are all signs and actions of love even if we dont notice them.
Love is a beautiful thing, but if you ask someone what is the meaning of that word, they will simply give a definition of what it can be. But, do we truly know what meaning the word love can have? People think that love can only be happy, something beautiful, but no. Love can be loneliness, Love can be happiness, Love can also be pain.
Love can be so lonely even if we are surrounded by it. It can feel so lonely that we think that there is no meaning for life, even if we are surrounded by people that love us. Its a feeling that we can never escape.
For me, love is a scary thing and I feel as if I am unlovable. I have a question that I ask myself everyday and I have yet to find the answer- "Was I raised without love? Or was I born unlovable?"
We can have many examples of what love can be. But what happens to a child that isnt loved properly? Some people will think that the child will start hating the person that didnt give them the love they needed. But the answer is far from that. The child will be filled with shame. The child wont ask themselves the question " What went wrong with my parents that they dont love me like they should?" , instead the child will start to ask themselves the question "What mistake did I do that I ended up with the disapproval of my parents?".
In school, the child will work 7 times harder than the other children to show his/her cleverness. Or the child will start to follow an anti-social path, the child will start to harm and do damage to themselves to gain the attention of their parents.
Sadly, there isnt an escape from the burden of shame, in availability, he/she will either be extremely good or extremely bad. The solution is to start understanding that he/she has done nothing wrong, but wrong was done to them.
