Jungkook wasn't sure exactly why, but that scent, that overwhelming pull, told him it was safe to push open the painter's door. He stepped inside, his wolf pushing to the forefront of his senses, turning his eyes dark, the irises fully black as they scanned the room. Jimin's bedroom was just like him - chaotic yet beautiful, a disorganized kind of harmony. Bookshelves lined the walls, piled with novels that had collected a layer of dust, framed photos of friends scattered throughout, and trinkets from travels or events he'd attended, each holding a piece of Jimin's soul. The bed was nestled in the corner, surrounded by soft sheets and plush pillows, but the center of the room captured Jungkook's full attention.

At the center was a makeshift nest of soft blankets piled on top of a deep purple comforter. The edges were bordered by various pillows, their soft forms creating walls around the space, while clothes were scattered throughout. Among them was Jimin's SNU sweatshirt, which was a gift from when Jungkook first moved in, and Jungkook's gray hoodie, now woven into the nest as if it had always belonged there. Jimin was in the middle of it all, curled into himself, his body tense. His eyes snapped open as he sensed Jungkook's presence, and they weren't the soft brown eyes Jungkook was used to seeing. Instead, they had shifted to a deep, molten gold, and for a brief, heart-stopping moment, their wolves regarded each other.

"Your nest is beautiful," Jungkook murmured, his voice thick with a primal, possessive drawl. He tilted his head, respect and care evident in his gaze, silently waiting for Jimin to signal it was okay to approach.

Jimin's eyes flicked between Jungkook and the nest, his water lily scent drifting past the scent blockers, a soft but unmistakable confirmation that he was feeling more at ease. Jungkook assumed Jiweon must have helped Jimin remove the blocker earlier, especially considering how much distress they had caused him.

"You must have worked very hard," Jungkook added, his tone gentle yet full of admiration for the nest Jimin had made. Jimin's expression softened, and he sat up with a slow nod like a wolf acknowledging its alpha. His body shifted with a fluid grace, leaning on his forearms, his weight settling onto his folded legs.

"Can I come to you, Jimin?" Jungkook asked softly. His eyes locked on the omega, and his gaze intense.

Jimin blinked, those beautiful, golden eyes flickering. A waft of sweet scent filled the air - silent approval. That was all Jungkook needed. He stepped over the makeshift walls of the nest, settling just a breath away from Jimin, the space between them charged with tension and tenderness.

Jimin sat back, wrapping his arms around his knees, his lips caught between a slight bite. His golden eyes flickered between their omega hue and the familiar human brown.

"If it's your heat, Jimin, I can help you," Jungkook said, his voice low, though a quiet urgency laced his words. He swallowed hard, struggling to steady his breath. "But I just... I need to know if it's only the heat right now or if it's more than that. Between us, I mean." His gaze was steady but soft as he reached out, placing his hand gently on Jimin's knee. "I'm going to help you either way, so you don't have to worry about that."

Slowly, Jungkook crawled closer, his heart pounding as he watched for any shift in Jimin's body language or scent that might signal him to stop. Every instinct told him to be careful, move slowly, and respect the space. Jimin's scent grew sweeter, a subtle warmth filling the air.

"But I need to know if there's more to it," Jungkook said. His voice was so incredibly vulnerable that it would have been easy to mistake the nest for his own. Jimin's eyes widened, his head perking up, pouting in concern as he reached his hand to Jungkook's cheek, cupping it. His thumb brushed lightly over the skin.

Jungkook shivered, the touch sending a wave of warmth through him despite the restraint he fought to maintain.

"Like I said, Jimin," Jungkook continued, swallowing hard, "I'm going to help you, no matter what. But I like you. A lot. And it'll mean something different for me than it might for you when I do." His breath caught as he searched Jimin's eyes, his heart pounding.
