Francis arrived back at the hideout, and held his wound. Despite many successful attempts at making a super soldier, he never gave himself a healing factor. Waiting there, was Roman Torchwick, and Neopolitan.
"Well, look what the cat dragged in," said Roman.
"Not in the mood," said Francis, "Besides, don't want any more repeats of the past, do we?"
Roman looked at Neo, who held her throat, and sneared.
"I just found out who our mystery assailant is," said Francis, "(Y/N) (L/N), former student of Beacon."
"You for real?" asked Roman.
"Yeah, but we might need to do some digging," said Francis.
Looking through some files, (Y/N)'s family died when he was very young. He seems to be pretty independent. However, one sight caught their eye.
"Hmmm, who is this?" asked Francis.
"Little Red," said Roman, "What's she doing with him?"
Neo pointed to them holding hands, and then kissing while on a date in Vale. Francis then said, "Well, seems we found a weak spot."
Beacon.....
Ruby had not been the best. Ever since (Y/N) left, she had been down in the dumps. She would go to class, participate, get things for her weapon, but that's it. She didn't even smile at her friends. She cared deeply, but without (Y/N) to bring some joy to her, she just didn't feel it.
"Hey sis," said Yang, "We're heading out, wanna come?"
"No thank you," said Ruby.
"Come on Ruby," said Weiss, "You can't just mope about. (Y/N) wouldn't want you to just sit a-"
Weiss was cut off, with a shot from Crescent Rose just missing her by inches. Ruby glared at Weiss, saying, "Don't. Use. (Y/N). Like that."
Blake stepped forward, saying, "Ruby, please, live your life, be the joy (Y/N) was. As a huntress, you may not be able to stop every death, but you can try. Please, we miss you."
Ruby just laid down, saying, "Maybe later."
Yang sighed, as she said, "Come on girls. Let's give her some space."
The door shut, and Ruby laid there, staring at the ceiling. After 10 minutes of staring, she heard her scroll go off. Looking at it, her eyes went wide at what it said.
Ruby, I'm sorry for leaving you. I got a new scroll, so meet me at your favorite weapons store, and I will explain everything. (Y/N).
Ruby grabbed Crescent Rose, and quickly ran out. Taking the bullhead to Vale, she looked all over, hoping to see (Y/N) before she arrived at the store. However, she did run into (Y/N)'s team, and said a quick, "HEY GUYS!! SORRY, GOTTA MEETING WITH (Y/N)!!"
Ruby opened the door, and looked around. She looked around, but no sign of (Y/N). Going to the counter, she asked the owner, "Sir, have you seen a young boy with (H/C) hair, about this tall, and a (F/C) shirt?"
The owner pointed to the back, and Ruby was quick to go out. Looking around, she saw nothing in the alley. However, a sound was heard, and a familiar face appeared.
"(Y/N)?" asked Ruby with tears.
(Y/N) smiled, and waved. Ruby smiled, and walked towards (Y/N), only for a pair of arms to grab her, and cover her mouth, and tie her arms behind her back. Ruby cried out, only for (Y/N) to shift like glass, revealing Neo. She just walked up, and placed a strip of tape over Ruby's mouth. Ruby was then thrown into a van, and the door slammed. Taking off, Ruby looked all over, trying to get up.
As they went on the street, Ruby heard a familiar voice say, "HEY!! WATCH IT!!"
Ruby tried to call out, only for Neo to smirk, and put a bag over Ruby's head, blocking her view.
