Years had passed, and their lives were nothing short of bliss. Gayatri and Vardha Raj had been blessed with a beautiful son, Veer. Together, they were the perfect family. The days were filled with love and laughter, so much so that it almost felt like a dream—too perfect, even. But sometimes, happiness is just the calm before the storm.

The morning they decided to visit their Kuldevi's temple in the forest seemed like any other. Gayatri dressed Veer in his kurta , his tiny face glowing with innocence as he held her hand. Vardha Raj had already packed everything they needed and waited in the car, smiling at the sight of his family. The ride was filled with light chatter and stolen glances, the kind that only a couple deeply in love could share.

As they neared the temple, Gayatri felt a strange unease ripple through her. She brushed it off, thinking it was just the heaviness of the jungle air. They parked the car, and she felt the sacred energy of the temple calling to her as they started walking toward it. That's when she realized—they had forgotten the flower basket.

"I'll get it," she said, starting to turn back.

But Vardha Raj raised his hand with a smile. "You stay with Veer. I'll be quick." He jogged back to the car, his figure illuminated by the early morning light.

Then, in an instant, everything changed.

Four gunshots tore through the air, echoing off the trees. Time seemed to freeze. Gayatri's breath caught in her throat, and her legs refused to move. A horrifying chill ran through her veins, paralyzing her.

" Raj!" she screamed, her voice raw and desperate. She rushed toward him, her heart pounding violently in her chest, but before she could reach him, an explosion erupted from the car. The force knocked her back, the heat searing her face as the car flipped over the edge of the road, crashing into the ditch below.

When she finally scrambled to her feet, she saw Vardha Raj lying on the ground, his body riddled with bullet wounds, his hands charred from the flames. Blood seeped into the earth beneath him, and his eyes... those eyes she had looked into every day for years... were lifeless. Gone.

"No... no, no!" she sobbed, collapsing next to him, cradling his head in her trembling hands. The world around her spun, her mind refusing to accept the brutal reality in front of her. Everything—their perfect life, their future together—was shattered in an instant, just like a glass piece

Her gaze darted around wildly, searching for Veer. Her boy, her son. In the haze of smoke and horror, she saw him standing frozen, tears streaming down his innocent face, confused and terrified by the chaos.

"Veer!" she screamed, pulling herself up. But her legs felt weak, her mind reeling from the unimaginable. This was no accident. This was a strike—deliberate, cruel, and calculated.
