You smile at Sean as he's fixing his tie. Sean notices you smiling at him "Why are you smiling like that?" "This will be our 5th Christmas work party as a married couple and not one person at work knows it. Plus you look amazing in that shirt. I can't believe we found a shirt that matches my dress." "You look beautiful in your dress. Purple suits you." "Well purple is one of my favorite colors." Then you sigh. "What is wrong Jean?" "Just thinking." "Of what?" "Work." "What about work?" "I report to Bensen because we got married but even he doesn't know that we are married to each other. The only one who knows we are married is the chief." "And what is bothering you really?" "When are we going to be able to even tell our friends that we got married? Many of my friends didn't even know I was dating anyone until I had a wedding ring on because I couldn't tell them about you." "You know the reasons behind us hiding our relationship." "Yes I do and now I think they aren't good enough anymore. I will deal with your family, I will deal with the wesen community knowing, hell ill even put up with the massive amount of flack I'm gonna get about it at work. But I'm tired of hiding my love for you in public. I'm tired of not being able to proclaim to the world that you are mine. And I'm damn tired of watching Adalind trying to get you into her bed when you're mine. If it means more to you to keep me hidden than how I feel about having to hide then we need to have a very serious talk about our future as a couple."

Sean now looks terrified in a way you have never seen on his face before. "Then we will tell everyone tonight at the party. You are my world Jean. You mean more to me than anything. I can't loose you so if telling the world about us keeps you from talking about leaving I'll do it." You have misty eyes when he stops talking. You pull him to you and kiss him. "Thank you." "I would do anything for you. You are my greatest weakness and my greatest strength." You wipe your eyes "great now my makeup is going to be ruined." "It looks perfect still." You nod. You hear your phone alarm go off. "Time to leave." "We're taking my car." "Together?" "Together. I mean it when we are telling everyone tonight. You're not the only one who wants others to stay away from what's theirs." "You're talking about Drew and Hank aren't you?" He nods. "Firstly Drew is gay and Hank is dating someone again. And before you mention Nick yes him and Juliette broke up but he's in some sort of weird threesome with Monroe and Rosalee." "Wu is gay?" "You haven't noticed?" Sean shakes his head. You smile "And I thought you were observent. Time to go."

When you pull up and park in Sean's Captain spot in front of the Precinct quite a few people are milling on the steps. You look at Sean "Ready to start telling everyone? Because the second I exit the car they'll be questions" "Yes. Are you?" "I've been ready since we started dating 7 years ago." Sean smiles at you "I love you." "And I love you most. Now are you going to open my door for me?" He smirks. He gets out and some heads look his way. You hear "Hey the Captain's here!" When he approachs my door to open it another exclamation "I think he finally brought his wife!" When you step out and take Sean's arm all mouth drop open. You smile at Sean who just smirks back. You nod towards them "Wanna shock them even more?" Sean's eyebrow raises. "Have something in mind?" "Kiss me." He smiles leans down and kisses me. Short and sweet.

You turn and smile at everyone looking at you two in shock. Then you notice the chief standing at the door smiling at us. The Chief yells "About time you two started telling others you've only been married for 5 years!" Everyone's heads spin to the Chief behind them. You let out a laugh. You hear Sean's held back chuckle. We start to head into the door to find everyone looking at the door at the Chief's yelling. They all see you and Sean entering together. Nick is the first one to exclaim "You two are married to each other!?" You laugh "Yes Nick, Sean and I have been married for 5 years now." Drew pips up "How long have you been together?" "7 years. Way before your betting pool started sorry." Sean looks at you "Betting pool?" "There was a betting pool going around that we would go on a date a few years back. It fizzed out the moment I showed up with a ring and so did you. For a bunch of detectives they didn't manage to put two and two together. We did show up the same morning with brand new matching wedding rings." Sean shakes his head "They bet on our love life?" "I have a feeling they bet on our sex life too." Sean glares around the room "If I hear one peep about a bet about that you will regret it." You laugh at some of their scared expressions. "Too late Sean they already have a bet going judging by their faces." Sean just glares around the room again "Not one word."
