The weeks after the proposal had been a whirlwind. Our engagement party had been nothing short of magical, and now that everything had settled, I found myself in the midst of planning our future together. Life felt like it was moving at a hundred miles an hour, but it was a pace I was more than willing to keep up with, especially with Sunghoon by my side.

It was a crisp autumn morning, and the sunlight streaming through the window of our apartment cast a warm glow over the room. The faint scent of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, mingling with the earthy aroma of the changing leaves outside. I sat at the kitchen table, wrapped in a cozy blanket, savoring a steaming cup of coffee. The delicate clink of the spoon against the porcelain mug was a soothing sound amidst the bustle of the day.

Sunghoon strolled into the kitchen, his face illuminated by a bright, cheerful smile. He wore a casual outfit today: a soft gray sweater and jeans, looking effortlessly handsome as usual, his tousled hair and relaxed demeanor were a stark contrast to the formal attire from the engagement party.

"Good morning, beautiful," He said, his voice warm and filled with affection.

I looked up, meeting his gaze with a smile. "Good morning," I replied, feeling a flutter in my chest at his endearing nickname. "You look relaxed today."

Sunghoon poured himself a cup of coffee, the rich aroma blending with the scent of the coffee I had already brewed. "I figured it's time for a little break from the chaos of wedding planning," he said, taking a seat across from me. "Besides, I wanted to spend some quality time with you."

I reached across the table and took his hand in mine. The warmth of his skin against mine was comforting. "I'm glad. It's been a whirlwind of meetings and decisions. I don't think I've had a moment to just breathe.

"Hi, Glad," he joked, earning an eye-roll from me. "Then let's make the most of today," Sunghoon suggested, his eyes twingkling with mischief. "How about we wpend the day doing something fun? No wedding talk, just us."

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What did you have in mind?"

He leaned in closer, his breath warm against my face. "How about a surprise picnic in the park? I've already packed a basket with all your favorites."

A smile spread across my face. "That sounds perfect," I said, my heart fluttering at the thought of a relaxing day with him. "Let me just finish up here and get ready."

The park was a serene oasis of colors and sounds. The leaves crunched beneath our feet as we walked along the winding path, their vibrant reds and golds painting a picturesque scene. The air was crisp, with a gentle breeze that carried the faint scent of pine and earth.

Sunghoon found a perfect spot beneath a large oak tree, its branches stretching out like welcoming arms. He spread out a plaid blanket on the grass and began unpacking the basket. The sight of the delicious spread—fresh sandwiches, fruit, cheese, and pastries—made my stomach growl in anticipation.

"Care to join me?" Sunghoon asked, holding out a sandwich.

I accepted it with a grateful smile, the bread warm and soft against my fingers. We sat down, enjoying the simple pleasure of a meal together in the open air. The sun's rays filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the ground.

As we ate, Sunghoon regaled me with funny stories from his childhood. His laughter was infectious, and I couldn't help but laugh along with him. The sound of his laughter was like music to my ears, and his easygoing nature made every moment feel special.

"Remember when we first met?" Sunghoon asked suddenly, his gaze thoughtful. "You were so determined to make a good impression."

I chuckled, recalling our initial encounter. "I remember. You were so aloof, but I think that's what intrigued me."

He grinned. "Aloof? Is that what you thought?"

"Definitely," I said, playfully nudging him. "But look at us now. Who would've thought?"

Sunghoon reached over and took my hand, his touch gentle and reassuring. "I'm glad it turned out this way. You make everything better."

We spent the afternoon talking and enjoying each other's company. The picnic was a perfect escape from the stress of wedding planning, and it reminded me of how lucky I was to have Sunghoon in my life. As the sun began to set, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, I felt a deep sense of contentment.

"This was exactly what I needed," I said, leaning my head against Sunghoon's shoulder.

"I'm glad," he replied, his voice soft and warm. "I've been thinking about how much our lives are about to change. But no matter what, I want you to know that I'll always be here for you."

I looked up at him, my heart swelling with emotion. "I know. And I feel the same way."

We stayed at the park until twilight, savoring the last moments of daylight. As we packed up and headed back, I felt a renewed sense of excitement for our future together. The challenges of planning a wedding were worth it for the joy of marrying someone as wonderful as Sunghoon.
