It's Wednesday. Today the bakery's closes early. Usually on a Wednesday afternoon we have lots of customers. Today is different, because tonight's, the lantern festival.
The lantern festival is usually Celebrated in China and other Asian countries. But our city Loves a quick and easy festival.
The lanterns can symbolise the people letting go of their past selves and getting new ones. Usually it takes place in February. So I don't know why our town host it in April.
I don't usually go to this festival,but Mackenzie invited me, and I thought it's a great way to say thank you for the dinner we had the other night at her brothers place.
Me and Luke got along really way, after dinner we talked outside. He enjoyed his vanilla pudding. Or maybe he lied to me, who knows?
After a while Mackenzie and Hudson came looking for us, and they joined us outside. We ended up talking and making jokes about how Mackenzie almost broke her neck when she was 13.
I'm currently getting ready for tonights festival, I don't go out much, so I don't necessarily know what to wear. I had no choice, but to call Mackenzie.
"Hello?"
"Hey Kenzie!, I'm getting ready for tonight,and I have a slight issue."
"Your not gonna cancel,are you?"
"No! Of course not, I need your help with my outfit. I'm not the best in style"
"Oh yess! I've been waiting for this moment forever!, I'll be right there, go open your door!"
With that she ended the call. I'm really happy I met her, I don't have any friends. Ana the manger, at my bakery doesn't count as a friend. We don't talk outside of work.
After a while, Mackenzie came bursting in my room, with bunch of clothes on hangers.
"Hiii, gosh I'm more existing than ever! I brought some of my clothes. You should fit in them."
"Oh wow thanks"
MacKenzie judge all the clothes on me, choosing what's best. We both ended up picking a light blue and light grey stripped sweater with light blue jeans.
Mackenzie offered to do my hair. She made a slick back bun, but the bun is half messy.
"You look so pretty! Luke is gonna love the outfit!"
