Lunch Break and Surprises
Chay's POV
Chay felt a little out of place as he walked through the bustling cafeteria with Sky and Rain. It was only his first day, and already he was trying to navigate the social maze of the school. Sky was practically bouncing with energy, and Rain? well, Rain was quiet but friendly, offering the occasional smile or nod.
"So, you guys hang out here often?" Chay asked, trying to make conversation.
Sky grinned. "Pretty much every day. It's the best spot on campus. Plus, we always get the best gossip" he added, with a wink.
Rain laughed softly, but there was a hint of shyness in his smile. "Yeah, the food's not bad either."
Chay chuckled and nodded. He still couldn't believe how much people seemed to know about him already. Being the new guy was a bit overwhelming, but Sky and Rain made it easier.
They grabbed their trays and found a table near the back, away from the main crowd. Chay tried to relax, letting the noise of the cafeteria wash over him as he took his seat. But his thoughts kept drifting back to the new place he found himself in. Everything felt new, and yet, there was something strangely comforting about it.
As they started eating, Rain suddenly spoke up, his voice thoughtful. "Hey, Sky... you think we could find out more about P'Phayu? I keep hearing a lot about him, and... I think I might have a bit of a crush on him."
Sky choked on his drink and quickly wiped his mouth, looking at Rain with wide eyes. "Wait, crush? On P'Phayu ?"
Rain nodded as he turned red, looking down at his food. "I-I just think he's amazing, that's all," he mumbled. "He's really... cool, but not in an annoying way. And he's nice to everyone"
Sky leaned back in his chair, looking amused. "Man, you're really into him, huh? You've barely even talked to him."
Rain's cheeks went even pinker. "I'm not really into him" he muttered. "I just... think he's different. He's got this way about him, you know? Like, he's confident, but not in a show-off way."
Sky gave him a playful look. "Yeah, you're definitely in love" he teased. "Come on, you're turning into a puddle every time you talk about him."
Rain didn't argue this time, just sighed and poked at his food. "I can't help it. He's just... perfect."
Chay watched them with a small smile, feeling amused but also a bit curious. "So, who is this guy, anyway?"
Sky smirked and leaned toward Chay. "Oh, you got him talking about Phayu now? Good luck, man. He's obsessed."
Rain groaned, burying his face in his hands. "I'm not obsessed."
Chay grinned, but then asked, "So, who is he? Is he a senior or something?"
Sky shrugged. "Well, no one really knows for sure. Phayu's a bit of a mystery. He's into cars and he's always around, you know?"
Rain nodded, looking dreamy. "He's got this... confidence, but he's not full of himself. And he's really kind. He helped me once when I had car trouble."
Sky blinked in surprise, looking over at Rain. "Wait, Phayu helped you with your car?"
Rain smiled fondly, his face softening. "Yeah, he just... showed up and fixed it. No big deal. He didn't make me feel stupid or anything."
