"The King's Hopeful Hallelujah"
I've heard there was a king unnerved,
He wrote songs as he ruled the world,
He really cared for music, true, ya
He wrote like this, the song, the mix
Scattered tapes and master disk
The hopeful king composed his Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah
His faith was weak; he needed proof
He placed a throne on his roof
The silence in the moonlight overthrew him
He heard no tune, no song within,
He closed his eyes, struggling
From his lips it drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah
My King, I've been here before,
Hope scattered across the floor,
Unwavering it still crawls to reach ya
Listen to the song of lark
Hope is not a victory march,
It's birthed from a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah
Voices ring as the shadows fall
I beg you look at one and all
See the people standing there, next to you
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
Everyone singing with all their might
It's a warm and it's your hopeful Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah
