As we enter the ice cream shop, we enveloped by a welcoming ambiance. The air is filled with the sweet scent of various ice cream flavors, mingling with the warm aroma of freshly baked waffle cones. Brightly colored decorations line the walls, showcasing quirky ice cream-themed art that brings a playful spirit to the space. The soft chatter of families and children, along with the occasional laughter, creates a lively backdrop that instantly lifts my spirits.
Gosh, I miss this place
" Eve! Oh my god I miss youuuu! bakit ngayon ka nalang ulit pumunta dito ha? " napatingin ako kay Jaz at sinalubong ang yakap nya
" Sorry medyo naging busy kase " kamot noong saad ko
" Ay sus, busy kamo sa jowa mo " makahulugan aniya bago sumulyap sa kasama ko na ngayon ay aliw na aliw sa mga batang kumakain ng ice cream
Oh? I didn't know na mahilig sya sa bata
" Stop it Jaz, she's not my girlfriend " I hissed
" Oh talaga ba? kung ganon pwede ko ba syang..... you know? " nakangising aniya
" NO!!! " agad na sagot ko ng mapagtanto ang gusto nyang sabihin
Jaz is dangerous, a famous fuck girl of the town
Tinawanan nya lang ako bago iiling-iling na tinungo ang counter
" So, strawberry ice cream as usual? " tanong nya na tinanguan ko naman
Nilapitan ko naman si Prudent na ngayon ay nakikipaglaro na sa mga bata
Cuteee....
" Hey " bulong ko sa mismong tenga nya dahilan para mapaigtad sya
" O-oh Hi " namumulang aniya na ikinakunot ng noo ko
" Let's go get our ice cream, ano bang gusto mo? "
She gaze at the counter where a dazzling array of flavors is displayed in a glass case.
" I want matcha ice cream " nakangiting aniya na sinukliaan ko naman ng isang ngiwi
" Matcha, really? You've got a weird taste " di makapaniwang sabi ko
Matcha taste like grass, I don't like it. It's so ewww!
" Walang pakialaman, ako naman yung kakain hindi ikaw " mataray na aniya bago ako inirapan
Wow the audacity of this girl
We sat at the corner of the shop as soon as we got our orders
" So, how's life after that incident? " I asked before licking my own ice cream
I unconsciously grinned when I notice how she gulp and avoided my gaze
She raised an eyebrow " Well, tulad noong sinabi ko sayo lumipat ako ng bahay. Then after a year nakuha akong scholar ng VIU kaya ayun doon na ako nag aaral ngayon " she said before taking a slow lick of her ice cream.
She even bite her lower lip for god's sake!
" O-oh kaya pala wala kana dun nung bumalik ako para k-kamustahin ka sana " damn it why am I stuttering!
" Bumalik ka? " seryosong aniya
" Yes, I mean we're friends right? I just want to make sure that you're safe "
" Right, friends " tumatangong sabi nya
I noticed a small smear of ice cream on the corner of her lips
