Chapter 1361: Like An Old Youtiao
Lately, Di Fuyi had been instilling into her all sorts of concepts and knowledge of being a leader. She found it hilarious as she was not as ambitious as him. Most importantly, she had no intentions of ruling the world. Her dream was to live happily without any constraints and being able to protect whoever she cared for. Hence, she was not keen to be a ruler.
"Celestial Master Zuo, I know that you're the superior, and you have a special set of management philosophy. However, I'm not a ruler, and I'm not keen to be one as well. The reason I learned Kung Fu was to protect my friends and family, and also myself; I wish all of them could live happily and be safe..."
Di Fuyi remained silent as he pondered. His gaze sank as he looked at Gu Xijiu. Gu Xijiu asked as she felt uncomfortable under his gaze, "Why are you looking at me this way? Do you think what I said is wrong?"
"Xijiu, in fact..." Just as Di Fuyi was about to say something, he smiled and hesitantly swallowed his words. "You're still a naive kid. To be frank, you can't always avoid the things you refuse to do. Of course, there would also be some things that you wouldn't have a chance of doing even if you badly wanted to do it. Once upon a time, I was like you..."
He paused for a moment. He then sighed and said, "Forget about it. It's depressing to talk about this today. Someday, you'll understand. Perhaps, you would not even need me to teach you."
Gu Xijiu could not help but smile as she wrapped her arms around one of his arms. "Are you addicted to recruiting disciples? Are you trying to recruit me and teach me as though I'm your disciple?"
Di Fuyi smiled too. "Stupid! I want you to grow stronger so that you'll face fewer difficulties in the future."
Gu Xijiu leaned her head on his shoulder. "You are such a bad sweet talker."
"Hmmm?"
"I remembered seeing something like this from a book. A man would say 'You don't have to be strong, because I'll always be by your side' if the man loved the woman. Very touching, isn't it?"
Di Fuyi was speechless.
Gu Xijiu kissed his cheek. "Come on, tell me this."
"Are you seeking for attention?" Di Fuyi asked as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
Gu Xijiu looked at him with a pair of sparkling eyes. "Please, tell me why you don't coax me."
Di Fuyi sighed. "I don't agree with that saying. Even though you're willing to continue teaching me how to 'sweet talk', would you feel the sincerity when I reluctantly say it?"
Gu Xijiu answered, "Of course! I like listening to you. Come on, tell me! We're not going to make love tonight if you refuse to tell me!"
"Cheeky!" Di Fuyi narrowed his eyes and his lips curved upward evilly at the same time. "Not going to make love? Are you sure you don't want to do it?"
Gu Xijiu frowned. "Why would I want to do it?"
Di Fuyi's lips drew closer to her ear. "Aren't you worried that I'll suffer from holding it in?"
Gu Xijiu could not help but glimpse at his lower body. He was wearing a big, loose robe so she could not see anything. She wrapped her arms around his neck and whispered into his ear. "Celestial Master Zuo, you look well even though you've held it in all these years. So, why would you suffer from holding it in now? How did you manage to live for thousands of years?"
Her breath beside his ears was getting warmer as she leaned on him. She was now like a little goblin which could not stop alluring his heart.
Swirls seemed to form in Di Fuyi's gaze. "Back then, I had never tasted any meat..."
