Animal testing is something that is horrid and normal.
Allow me to explain. Animal testing is the practice of testing products on animals including but not restricted to rats, rabbits, and dogs. Animal testing is one of the crueler ways to test your products. Animal testing is the process of injecting animals with the chemicals in the products or the product itself into the animal and recording the bodily reaction that the animal has in order to determine if it is safe to sell.
Animal testing is a common practice for a few reasons. Animal testing is a necessary practice in counties like China, Japan, and parts of the United Kingdom. It is required by law in these places for cosmetic products and products intended for human use to be tested on animals. These laws are in place for products manufactured and in cases sold, in these countries. These laws were made to insure the safety of the consumer, and I find that quite ironic because in doing so they kill millions of animals during the process.
I'm aware that areas like China and Japan are sale hotspots and I understand that not selling there would be foolish and a waste of opportunity, but there is a different option. You can sell in these places if you take the precaution to ensure that your product is safe and clean. Last I checked, this was already a requirement but sadly many brands and products cut corners in order to cut costs and in doing so disregard safety and work requirements. It doesn't cost much extra to meet requirements than it does to pay off inspectors, trust me.
So many brands that we all know and trust hide this poisonous secret. Those brands include Arm and Hammer [house and human care], Raid [Pesticide], Band-Aid [we know this one], Clorox [Cleaning products], Crest [Dental care], and Revlon [skincare], just to name a few. If you recognize these brands, you are the same as many. I find it disgusting that they test literal poison on animals.
I strongly believe that animal testing is a cruel and unnecessary practice. Animal testing is disgustingly overused and normalized. I believe that my point is commonly reciprocated. Thank you.
