Sensei Kreese and Jules sat on a log by a lit fire. Jules just stared into the orange and yellow flames, while Kreese lit a cigar. Jules didn't know what to think about the new additions to Cobra Kai. From her own experience, they had some battles of their own to face.
However, Kreese always had his ways. As if on que, Kwon walked up to the two. It was obvious that he was mad about something.
"Hey." He shouted, getting Jules attention. As soon as their eyes met, she rolled her eyes, wanting nothing to do with him. Kreese, however, stayed smoking his cigar. "You trying to get students angry at me?" He asked the sensei, his voice low and enraged.
Kreese blew out the smoke from his mouth as he looked up to the student. "You think I'm afraid of them?" Kwon seethed, his gaze lingering to Jules as if he was talking about her.
"No I don't." Kreese spoke as Kwon's face scrunched up in confusion. "I don't think you're afraid of anybody. I think you're cocky and disrespectful. But you combine that with your skills and strength, I think you can be one of the most terrifying fighters in the Sekai Taikai." He explained to the boy, who stood confused.
"I don't understand." Said Kwon.
Jules knew where this conversation was headed. She had the same conversation with Sensei Kreese when she started doubting her abilities. Kreese had this same talk with her, and it brought her to where she was today. Fighting in the Sekai Taikai. It felt like she had been reborn, like she had a brand new purpose.
"Just take all that anger inside you and give it purpose." Kreese explained. Jules watched as the doubt left Kwon's eyes and a new feeling of anger rised within him. She knew━ because she experienced it. "Prove to the others that you are the best fighter in the class. And there's only one way to do that."
Kwon nodded and bowed to Sensei Kreese, he then turned on his heels and stormed off. Jules looked to her sensei as he motioned for her to go follow him. She nodded, rising from the log as she followed the same path Kwon had taken.
As she approached the clearing Kwon had entered, she saw Kwon shove Yoon from behind, making him stumble forward. Yoon and his two minions looked to Kwon and then to Jules who stood behind him.
"What's the matter, Kwon? Haven't had enough?" Yoon spoke. His eyes looked past Kwon and to the dark haired girl standing just behind him, a glimmer of rage in her eye. "Bring your girlfriend too?"
