"Ezra and Elias have always been rivals-on the field, in the classroom, and anywhere they can compete. Ezra's precision on the soccer field is matched only by Elias's dominance on the basketball court. But when Angel transfers to Yale, she's not jus...

It's a moving day at the college, and Angel is overwhelmed by excitement and nerves. She's far from home standing outside her dorm, surrounded by boxes and bags as she prepares to move into her new dorm. This is her first time away from home and she's determined to make the most of her college experience though she's unsure, exactly what it will look like
Her mom just left, and she's feeling the weight of transitioning from high school to college, from being a teenager to becoming an adult as she drags a heavy box toward her dorm. A friendly AR comes over to help as she sets her bags down, Angel breathes a sigh of relief.
Angel is socially awkward. She's polite, but she hasn't entirely found her footing in terms of making new friends. Most of her energy is spent getting settled and unpacked, trying to avoid feeling too out of place in the sea of strangers.
Wow. College. It feels... so... grown-up. So much bigger than high school. I don't even know where to start. I guess I'll just have to figure it out. I'll make friends eventually, right?
"Ok...dorm C4 just up the stairs," she whispers.
Angel stumbles as she carries a box up the stairs to her room. Her balance isn't outstanding with all the bags, and she's about to drop everything. A strong hand steadies her, and she looks up to see a tall boy offering a helping hand.
Ezra is a sophomore on the soccer team. He is tall and athletic, with an intense look that makes him seem unapproachable. He has that quiet, brooding energy that says he doesn't want to be bothered yet. There's something about him that makes Angel feel a little flustered.
"You alright? Need help with those?"
"Yes, please. Thanks so much. I'm Angel, by the way; what's your name?"
"Ezra, Nice to meet you."
Angel is taken aback by how tall and intense he looks up close. She's never been great at talking to guys, especially one who seems so self-assured, but she smiles sheepishly and accepts his help.
"I-uh, I'm just getting settled in. It's a lot, you know?"
Ezra just nods, his expression softening a little. There's no overt friendliness, but the way he holds her gaze makes her heart race just a little. He helps her carry the box to her room, then stands there momentarily, looking at her as if debating whether to say something more.
"Don't let it overwhelm you college can be a lot at first...but it gets easier."
Before she could reply, Elias appeared at the end of the hall. His bright smile lit up the space. He's tall and athletic, just like Ezra, but Ezra is more reserved. Elias exudes confidence and charm.
"You're helping someone? Wow, that's a first."
Ezra shakes his head, clearly not interested in playing into Elias's jokes, but his eyes flick toward Angel again. There's a moment of tension as they stand there too, very different guys who are both starting to notice her, though she's oblivious to the deeper current beneath the surface.
Flashing a grin at Angel, "So, I take it you're a freshman? Need help getting your bearings? I'm happy to show you around, maybe grab a coffee later...?" He says with a big smirk on his face.
Angel blushes slightly, unsure of how to respond. Elias's easy confidence is hard to ignore, and she finds herself a little lost for words.
"Uh...I'm just getting settled in. But thanks. Maybe another time?"
Elias grins, unfazed he leans against the door frame, clearly enjoying the attention he's getting.
"You'll regret not taking me on that coffee offer. Trust me."
As he walks away, his charm seems to linger in the air, leaving Angel to stand there, uncertain and a little confused.
Later that night, Angel sat in her new dorm. Everything was set up and ready to go; now, she had to figure out the campus and her classes.
"I didn't think meeting people in college would be so....complicated. They're both so different. Ezra's quiet, but there's something about the way he looks at me. And Elias he's...he's fun. It was easy to say words to him. But...I don't know."
"Look Angel you're overthinking it, it's your first day if it's that big of a deal just fuck both of them." Her friend Astrid said over the phone.
They stayed silent for a second before they both burst into laughter, "Please girl I would never lose my virginity now, especially here." She said coming down from her laughter.
"Yeah, I know," Astrid said, chuckling a bit.
"Well I gotta go and get packed I'll see you tomorrow and see if we have the same dorm rooms please," she said getting ready to hang up.
"Ok boo, night love you"
"Love you more"
Angel sighed a bit as soon as she heard the phone ring. She didn't know how she felt about her first day but hoped the next day would be better.
A/N. finally back. It feels nice, I made this chapter a couple of days ago but never posted it because I was nervous, but it's all good 🤗
