I blinked my eyes open and looked around. We were still in the lounge. Taylor had her back pressed against Cameron, who was holding her waist. Cleo was laying on her back while Jake slept on her chest. Riley and Ashton were under the covers, also holding each other. I smiled. I sat my head up, realizing I had falen asleep on mystery boy. What was his name? I can't quite remember. I think it started with an R. Ryan? Richard? Ronan! That was it! I wipe the sleep from my eyes. "Morning."
I look at Ronan. He wipes his eyes and smiles at me. I smile back. With the sun peering through the windows, I could take in his features better. He was much more handsome than I thought he was. He had raven colored hair, almost luminating blue eyes with a scar across the left eye, and freakishly white teeth. I felt like such a mess suddenly. "We might try to get the others up before a teacher comes by."
Ronan nods. "Give me a minute." He stretches, raising his shirt a bit passed his stomach. Abs at 14-years-old? I was impressed. I tried not to show it though. I fiddled with my sleep shirt. Once he's finishes and yawns, he gets up and goes over to Jake first. I start with Riley. I nudge at her shoulder. "Hey, we've got to get them back."
She sits up. I notice a small bruise on her neck. I try not to stare. She rubs her eyes and nudges Ashton, who groans. "Come on, get up. You guys have to get back."
He sits up. His shirt is missing. I really didn't want to know what I missed now. He grabs his shirt from the floor and gets dressed. When I turn around, mystery guy is working on Cameron. I go over and shake Taylor gently. She immediately wakes up, looks at me, looks at Cameron, and looks back at me. "Am I dreaming?"
"This time, no."
Her grin makes me giggle. Inside her head, I knew she was dancing. She'd wanted this to happen way too long. Taylor removes Cameron's arm from around her and helps get him up. Once everyone was awake and the mess was cleaned, we all faced each other again. We all hug each other. Riley and Ashton kiss each other. Cameron sneaks a kiss on Taylor's cheek before he sneaks over to the door, and Jake and Cleo just simply smile at each other. Mystery boy walks up to me. "It was nice meeting you, Ava."
"It was nice meeting you."
He puts his hand forward to shake it. I go to grab it, but instead he sneaks a kiss on my cheek. The boys sneak out of the room. I try to hide the fact that my face is beat red. I grab my blanket and follow the girls back out to the hallway and to our dorm. I knock on the window. Mr. Gossler is asleep, but he immediately wakes up. He looks at me, I look at him. He nods and gets up to follow the boys outside. We walk back into our dorm and look at the clock. 7:15. We all stand there facing each other. We knew what was coming; we just didn't want to say.
Around 9:45, we were all dressed. We faced each other again. Taylor was the first to start crying; Riley was the first to speak up. "I'm really gonna miss you guys."
Cleo's eyes started watering next. Riley follows shortly after her. I try my best to hold it in. I couldn't cry. I had done enough crying my whole life. I wasn't going to let myself. "You guys are my best friends. I'm gonna miss waking up and seeing you guys. You're not just my friends; you're my sisters."
That line had me. I felt the tears suddenly let go. Taylor, RIley, and Cleo grab on to me. We hug each other. "All 8th graders please report to the gym." We hear the announcement ring throughout the campus. We walk out of the dorm and follow other 8th graders, hands linked to each other. We weren't the only ones walking like this.

The gym is already flooded with people once we arrive. Riley is the first to spot Ashton and the others. She leads over to where they were sitting. We take a seat and watch everyone else gather in. When no one else walks through the door, they immediately shut and lock. The lights dim and then shine on a platform in the middle of the basketball court. The principal is standing there. He turns and looks at everyone. "I assume you know what this is." No one says anything. "Today is Class Assignment. This is the biggest class we've ever had take the exam. These results will determine the rest of your lives." He pauses, probably for dramatic effect. "I'll call you up to the platform alphabetically in groups of 10. You'll stand here and your results will be revealed. You will also receive your certificate for finishing Brier Academy and return to your seats. Let me make one thing clear now; there are students who have made the Assassin class in this room. Those students who have will immediately be taken out, head to the office, and receive further instructions there. You are all to upload the honor code and never speak the names of those who receive Assassin. I trust you will be wise." He looks around the gym once again. The lights flash back on. "Let's begin."
The names are called. They take to the stage, recieve their class, and go sit back down. In our group, Cameron Andrews is first. He recieves Flyer. His face is estatic when he walks back over. Riley Brandon is next; she recieves Medic. She looks thrilled. Cleo Carolson is next; she is assigned Medic as well. She looks pleased. After her, the first Assassin is named. I wasn't surprised who it ended up being. He's immediately taken out of the gym. Jake McKinely goes next. He recieves Soldier. No one is too surprised. Taylor Nickles follows shortly after him. When Soldier is called, she could barely contain herself. It was down to Ronan and I. "Ronan Waverly." He gets up and walks over to the platform. When he's there, the principal looks at the list. "Ava Weasley." I didn't realize I'd be right after him. I get up and walk down to the platform. Once I'm there, the last few names are read. He starts reading off the Assignments. I try to look down at my feet until he gets over to Ronan. "Ronan Waverly, you are an Assassin. Please follow the teacher out the door."
I look over at him. His face is shocked. He follows the teacher out, glancing back at me. The principal stares at me. I look back up at him. "Ava Weasley..." He pauses for a moment. "You will also need to follow the teacher out. You've also been assigned Assassin."
Wait... what?!
