Story 9: The Black Lamp.

There was once an old man named Ben and he had been homeless for a long time he tried to find himself a job and everything but all the people who had talked to had rejected him due to the poor old man being poor.

This caused the poor old man to become bitter towards anyone who would ever show him kindness because he thinks that everyone is an awful person and just wanted to humiliate the poor man right in front of everyone.

The old man became a major wreck he steal from other people just so he can sell the things he had stolen and use the money to buy himself some beers and other strong alcoholic beverage just to numb the pain he goes through.

Then one day the old man went through a trash can just to find food and then... he soon found a black lamp.

The black lamp looked dirty due to the gunk covering the lamp then he decided to take it with him so he can clean the trash gunk off and polish the lamp good as new but as he was wiping the gunk off with a towel the lamp started to shake and then red smoke started to come out of the lamp.

The old man could not believe of what he was seeing then the smoke forms into what looks like a female with bright red skin, dark red hair, and is wearing a black colored belly dancer uniform.

The old man was in a mix of both awe and confusion then the female looks to the old man and says in a cheerful and yet a serious sounding tone of voice:

"Hello again Master. You have found me once more and now you have a one final wish."

Ben was confused and so he asked her on what she was talking about and he did not remember making any wishes at all.

Then as the female humanoid started to clean her lamp up with her towel she manifested out of nowhere she then explains that when they first met he made his first wish and then he wished that he never had the black lamp again.

Ben was a bit skeptical at first but if it's true that he did make a wish then he decided to make his final wish even though he still thinks that it's a prank set up by a bunch of mean kids and teens.

Ben then thinks about his wish and then he thought of a wish and then he told the female entity that he wished to be immortal so he wont die from age.

The entity then giggles Ben then asked her what was so funny then she said to the old man: 

"Oh nothing. It's just that... The very wish you made was the same as the first wish."

She then snaps her fingers then after that she flies off taking her black lamp with her.

The old man did not feel any different and so he sighs thinking that this was just a mean prank after all until when he walked out of the street without even looking both ways...

He got run over by a truck and the wheels of the truck split the poor man in half clean off then the ambulance arrived and rushed him to the hospital immediately.

To this day the old man was still alive despite being torn in half from the waist. 

Many doctors and nurses called him a walking miracle but they do not see that what the poor old man had was no miracle... it was a curse... and a curse that he could never wish to go away ever again.

He remained in the hospital for the rest of his eternal life.
