Story 12: Cult Of Sonic.EXE.

There was once a young man named Jim and he was friends with Susan until she died from suicide 5 days ago and Jim was down in the dumps because of that.

In Susan's honor he created a Discord server that revolves around the Sonic game series for sonic fans. 

Of course in secret Jim is trying to find out who caused Susan to die because he believes that there had to be something more to her death than just suicide since he knew that Susan was the most lively person to ever exist and she would never kill herself.

He looked and browsed through the internet just so he can at least get the idea of what happened to Susan then he came across Susan's reddit post and took a read and it gave all the details of her experience with the Sonic.EXE game she played.

Jim didn't really believe the story but he felt like that there might be a killer going around wearing a creepy sonic costume and the game itself must have been made by the killer just so the killer would be able to trace her house like a tracker.

Either way deep down he knew that this "Sonic.EXE" is somehow connected to his friend's death.

Then one night he was taking out the trash since tomorrow was trash day and then he sees three people wearing black colored cloaks that has red colored X patterns all over their cloak and they were wearing red colored masks to hide their faces.

The three cloaked figures looked like they were walking to the nearby church that seemed to be closed for the night.

Jim felt suspicious and so he decided to follow them without getting caught.

Jim soon followed the hooded figures without getting caught and he sees the cloaked figures enter the church and closed the doors behind them.

Jim wanted to see what was going on in there and so he decided to look through the window and what he saw... filled his heart with confusion and terror.

These cloaked figures were worshipping a giant Sonic statue but it was given some paint job.

The Statue's eyes were painted and was given red dots as the pupils for the eyes, the fur was painted in dark blue blue color, and quills were panted black to look like the Sonic.EXE that was in Susan's note.

The cloaked people were praising the statue as if it was an idol for their god like a bunch of cultists... Yes... that's what they are... a bunch of cultists praising to their god.

Jim started to back away slowly but then he felt like he bumped into someone and so he looks back quickly and he sees a man that looks like he is 6.2 foot tall, he has a built masculine physique, and he was wearing the exact same cloak and mask as the cultists were.

Jim tried to make a run for it but it was far too late because the man gets out his wooden club and hits Jim hard enough to knock him out but not too hard so the man wouldn't kill him.

4 minutes later Jim finally wakes up only time find himself tied to a crucifix with chains and there were wooden sticks below him.

Then Jim sees a man wearing a white cloak with dark blue X patterns all over it and was wearing a dark blue mask Jim guesses that he must be the head priest of the cult and he was holding a torch that is lit on fire.

Jim knew exactly what this was... This is a trial and the fire is the judge.

The head cultist then stops and looks to the other cultists and says out loud:

"All Rise!"

The cults then stood up as instructed by the head cultist.

Then the head cultist continues with: 

"My Children! Today we have a heretic and that heretic was spying on us!" The head cultist then points at Jim then the cultists started booing at him and started to shout burn the heretic over and over but the head cultists clams them down by sating:

" I will burn the heretic but not just yet... We must wait until our Lord X comes."

Jim did not know who "X" was but he looks at the Sonic.EXE statue and might get the perfect idea of who X is.

Then in a black smoke their god appears in the middle of the room in all his glory having black eyes with red dots, dark blue fur, black quills, and is wearing a black coat.

The Cultists then begins to praise and worship X then X calms them down and soon the Cultists calms down.

Jim could not believe what he was seeing... this was actually the real Sonic.EXE.

X then looks to Jim and then he smiles evilly knowing exactly who this young man is then he says in a sinister and yet the most accurate sonic voice:

"Ah. Jim. I was wondering when you would show up."

Jim was shocked that X knew his name then X would continue with: 

"Your girlfriend named Susan told me soooo much about you. On how your an excellent fighter and you could kick my ass."

X then started to laugh in Jigsaw's laughter then he stops.

"How Hilarious. Your death will put all the souls in their place seeing that regardless of what world your in. Real world... Or my world... I am still God."

X then looks to head cultist and gives him permission to drop the torch and so the head cultist nods and he throws the torch at the pile of sticks then the sticks caught fire and the fire was spreading fast then Jim soon dies in the most agonizing way possible as X laughs as Jim dies from both the fire and from the chains that were melting into his skin.

Jim died figuring out who the killer was... and now he is one of X's play thing for all eternity.
