Alexis, holding her coffee cup, looks at her cousin Alex and her friend Lexi Grey as they both give her concerned looks.

Alex, raising an eyebrow, says, "You know, you're really starting to drink a lot of coffee. It's not good for you, Alexis."

Lexi, joining in with a gentle but serious tone, adds, "Yeah, you should cut back. It's not healthy to rely on it so much."

Alexis shrugs, taking another sip of her coffee. "It's my life," she says firmly. "I can handle it."

Alex looks at her with a mix of concern and frustration. "But you're not handling it. You're just avoiding the real issues, Lex. You don't want to deal with everything you're going through right now."

Alexis looks away for a moment, taking a deep breath. "I don't need to explain myself," she replies quietly, trying to brush off the concern . Alex, his voice rising with frustration, suddenly yells at Alexis, "This isn't just about coffee, Alexis! It's about you avoiding everything that's going on with you. You're not dealing with your pain, your past—you're just hiding behind this addiction!"

The room falls silent. Alexis, shocked, looks at her cousin, her eyes wide. This is the first time Alex has ever yelled at her, and it cuts deeper than she expected.

Alex takes a deep breath, realizing the force of his words. "I care about you, and it hurts seeing you do this to yourself," he says, softer now but still filled with concern. "You don't have to do it alone. We're here for you."

Alexis looks down, guilt and hurt swirling inside her. She hadn't expected him to snap like that. For a moment, she's silent, unsure of how to respond.
