chapter 1: who do you really like?

Friday 13th october 2001: Mia's house

It was a friday, it had been a longg week at school so Mia, Autumn and Deliah decided to walk back to Mia's house as they hadn't done that in ages. As they walked in Mia's mum, Victoria, was just in the kitchen preparing dinner. "Hello girls, you all alright?" She said with her usual calming voice.
"Yeah we're fine," Mia replied unenthusiasticly, she just wanted to get up to her room.The three girls clambered up the stairs abd stepped into Mia's bedroom. It was quite tidy except from a couple of pillows and clothes on fhe floor. Which was impressive for Mia as she was practically known for her room always being messy. "So..." Mia said as sson as she was settled on her bed, " Should we play truth or dare?" Deliah and Autumn nodded in agreement, probably questioning whether it was a good idea to agree or not but still. They both nodded enthusiastically enough for Mia to scream a little. "Ok, I'll go first. Aut truth or dare?"
Autumn paused for a moment, deciding which one to choose when she finally settled on a choice. " Ummm... Dare!" She exclaimed, currently questioning her decision in her head, contemplating if truth was a safer option, especially if it was Mia picking the dare.
"I dare you to... do a backbend!!"Mia said, knowing it would be a piece of cake for Autumn, who was randomly really flexible. Autumn got up a second later and, as Mia and Deliah imagined, did it a bit too easily.

A couple of minutes passed as each of the girls took it in turns asking each other the question 'truth or dare'. Until it was Mia's turn to ask again. She chose Deliah and after asking truth or dare, Deliah replied truth. The first truth in a while so it took Mia a minute or two to think of one, then Autumn whispered something in her ear. Obviously something good as a mischievous smirk now spread across Mia's face.
"Deliah, do you have a crush on anyone at school?!"
Yes. Yes she did.
But she wasn't going to admit it there, It was on Mia. Deliah couldn't understand why she had a crush on her though. Maybe it was the way her long, cherry-red hair swished from side to side as she walked. Or mabe it was the way her emerald green eyes sparkled perfectly in the sunlight. But, not even Deliah, realised she only thought she liked her because she was the first person to talk to her, to be her friend.

Deliah always struggled to make friends and she never understood why. She had never done anything wrong, or atleast she didn't think so. But then Mia came up to her one day and asked it she was ok, and if she wanted to be friends. Eagerly, Deliah agreed, she had never had a friend before that. That day she came bouncing home, all she could talk about was the fact that she had actually made a friend. She never knew why Mia, an amazing kid with loads of friends, would come ip to a girl like Deliah, a no-friended loser who sat alone every break and lunchtime. There was a tiny Slither of Deliahs heart that knew she didn't like Mia like that. But that tony slither was overshadowed by the part of her heart that said she was truly in love, and swore to never love anyone else like she loved Amelia.

Overwhelmed with probably bright pink cheeks, she just replied "No I dont like anyone like that.."
"Ooh! We should try fond someone you do like!!" Autumn suddenly added, She had already had about eight boyfriends that year. Actually suprising for Autumn, as like her older brother, Reece, would say "She changes boyfriends more than i change my socks." No one knew why she went through so many, Autumn knew she just wanted someone who would love her for her, who she could marry and have children with. But at her rate, the chances of that happening were really, really slim.

They then spent the next half an hour naming just about every boy in the school.
"Jacob S" Mia suggested.
"NO!! he's disgusting"
"Jude C?" Autumn added.
"uhhh... hes like 2ft tall, no way!"
"Theo H?" Aut questioned again, surprisingly faster than Mia that time.
"He has a girlfriend doesnt he?"
"Oh yeah! My bad" Autumn replied sheepishly.
"Ummm.. Tyler W?" Mia asked, completely forgetting his current girlfriend was in the room with him.
"Im right here ya know??" Aut said sarcastically.
Mia looked away from Autumn, not really wanting to know the reason of her death at thirteen. "Right we're getting absolutely no where with this. Anyway dinners ready I think." Mia added, trying to break the awkward silence she just created.

When it was time for Aut and Deliah to go home, wlaking back all Deliah could think of was who she actually liked. I mean she couldn't like Mia like that, girls aren't allowed to like girls was what her mum said to her. She was being silly, she can't of been serious about liking Mia could she. It was wrong for her to do that.

Right?

Soooo... first chapter! I dont really know where im going with this, some of the parts are going to get really rambly. Ignore my terrible grammar, considering im top set english i really should be better at it but we roll. Suggestions are NEEDED here, if you have any message me on tiktok!! And yea thats about it!
