Chapter 4 Amy

I was just moping about over Sonic, and now I'm out with Shadow? It's a nice change. I'd much rather be with a strange gentleman, than some friends- who don't even bother to show up.

Better yet they always talked about Shadow, and how he never smiled- or was evil to the core.

How could he be evil? He just had a dream about me, and thought I was in trouble, and came to make sure I was alright.

And I had gotten him to smile just fine. . .

"Here we are." Shadow said and moved a tree branch so I could continue forward.

I walked on a bit, though he followed close behind until we came out into a large field of lavender. Fireflies were dancing across the entire area, and the stars illuminated the area from the lack of moonlight.

Evil my ass.

Shadow reached out his hand to me with a huge smile. I took his hand and he led me to two stones sitting side by side in the middle of the area.

I sat down and he sat next to me, staring out over the area. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" He asked and turned to me. I nodded and giggled as a lightning bug landed on his nose. He laughed with me, and it flew away.

"How come you've never told anyone about this?" I asked. He shrugged. "It wouldn't be as special." he said and tilted his head. "Then why did you bring me?"

His face blushed at my question and nervously smiled. "Because you're special too." He said and ran his hand through his quills.

I felt my face grow hot in a blush as well. "Thats sweet." I said and giggled again. Shadow quickly pointed up at the Sky, "hey a shooting star!" I said in response. He nodded, and I closed my eyes.

I know exactly what to wish for. . . I want someone to love me for a change.

I opened my eyes and I saw shadow still had his closed, though when he opened them he wasn't smiling anymore.

"Did you make a wish?" I asked him. He nodded, "Did you?" I nodded. "What did you wish for?" I asked him. He rolled his eyes and smiled. "You know the rule." He said and layed back on the rock.

I giggled and layed down beside him, resting my head on his arm and looking up at the stars with him. I soon felt my eyes close and I fell asleep.
