Chapter 13 - Construction of the city begins.

As I said before, this is my first time writing a kingdom-building fanfic/novel, so it probably won't be as good as you're expecting.

And about some questions I've received: No, the girls in the protagonist's harem won't have videos recorded, only girls outside the harem.

When I woke up, I went straight to the bathroom. I felt dirty and stinking, and I needed to clean myself! So, I bought pipes, a giant water tank to place on the roof, and a showerhead.

It was easy.

I installed the water tank, connected a pipe, and set up plumbing. I connected the tank to the shower. After that, I bought several water jugs and filled the tank.

Each 10-liter "bottle" was just one point, so it wasn't expensive.

Of course, I didn't fill the whole water tank, just enough for a quick shower.

'Until I can get a natural water source... I have to do this.'

After taking my shower, I bought clothes. A basic shirt for one point, pants for one point, underwear for one point, and brand shoes for a mere 10 points.

Dressed in new clothes, I bought deodorant and a bottle of perfume. Each cost 10 points.

I'd received more donations overnight, so it wasn't a problem.

"Now it's time for breakfast, and then time to work."

After eating a few whole cows in my dragon form, I transformed into an eagle again and soared through the blue sky toward the goblin village.

As I approached, I saw the goblins having a "party," eating meat and enjoying themselves. Meanwhile, Ranga was lying in the corner of the village, clearly feeling very lonely.

At least nothing happened to him.

I descended toward the middle of the village, and as I approached the ground, I shifted into my human form. I landed, and the ground beneath my feet cracked—I'd come down at extreme speed.

The loud sound caught the goblins' attention.

"Time to stop the party!" I clapped my hands to get the goblins' attention. "It's time to work!"

I smiled at all the goblins, who looked at me terrified.

They realized I was going to make them my "slaves" from now on.

'But as long as they're well rewarded and have a good place to live, I think they'll work for me without complaints.'

My lips curled into an even bigger smile.

"Chief! I want you in the tent right now; the planning is about to begin!"

"Yes, sir!"

Inside the tent, I sat on an old chair and spread a large piece of paper across the table. I took a pen and began sketching some designs on the paper. Of course, I kept the system map open to get a sense of what I was doing.

"I want to start by clearing this area, I need space to build. After that, we'll set up a wall."

It doesn't seem that difficult.

This will be easier than it looks, but I'll need a lot of points. I'll have to go to Dwargon again when I want more points. I won't have enough with just these two videos.

"I thought you were joking when you said you wanted to build a city."

"Of course I'm not joking. I don't have any experience with this kind of thing—what do you think of this?"

I showed the drawing to the goblin.

"This is where the city will be."

The goblin pointed to the center of the map. "Are you sure it's a good idea to do this in the middle of the forest?"

"What do you suggest? Do you think we should go somewhere else?"

"...I don't have any suggestions."

"Then the city will be here. I don't want to build it too close to Dwargon. You know it'll be a problem if they find out about the city, right? We need to stabilize before negotiating with them."

"You're already thinking about negotiations?"

"Of course. Or do you think it'll be easy to stay here without becoming their allies? You're monsters, remember? If they find out about the city and learn that monsters are working on it, we're done."

"And how do you plan to hide that? They'll find out sooner or later."

"We just need to work quickly to be strong enough before they discover this city's existence."

"We don't have many people, and we don't have much strength. It'll be impossible to remove all these trees and build walls so quickly."

"You're right..."

How can I solve this?

I can buy the materials, but I can't hire people using the system. I can make the process easier by buying chainsaws or other types of machines.

But we need power for all that.

This is problematic.

I don't think we'll be able to finish everything that fast.

"I'll think it through later. First of all, let's clear this area. This tent will be the city's center. The goblins will handle the trees while I prepare the area to start constructing the main building."

I'll also spend a few minutes better dividing up the city areas on the map.

"All right, I'll talk to everyone else."

"Oh, wait. I'll mark the city area before you guys start. I don't want you guys cutting down too many trees. Hahaha."

I transformed into an eagle and flew into the sky. I hovered over the center of the goblin village. Then, I headed north, flying several kilometers before landing and marking a spot with red flags.

I kept doing this for nearly an hour until the city's area was outlined.

"I'm doing this in the dumbest way possible, but I think it'll work."

When I returned to the village, all the goblins were already gathered.

I landed next to the chief and crossed my arms. I gave a long smile and then started buying several high-quality axes.

"Cut down all the trees! Don't stop chopping until you're completely exhausted! I marked where you need to stop cutting! You've got a lot of work! Understood?!" I yelled at the goblins.

They remained silent as they looked at the axes.

"Did you hear me, you fools?!" I shouted.

"Yes, sir!!!" all the goblins shouted in unison and started grabbing the axes.
